In the past I have used Dettol and fairy power spray, which has removed most paint but without a lot of scrubbing and soaking overnight.
I found this product Raven Miniature Paint Stripper, gave it a go and its amazing! removes all the paint from my miniatures with no lose of detail.

Pros:

-Does all miniature types ( normal / fine cast / old lead / metal )
-remove's all paints types (so far from what i have used it on)

Cons:

-Very strong solvent smell (you dont want to breath this in)
