I'm planning on a White Scars space marine army (Kor'sarrow Khan and 3rd company) but am unsure what the correct colour is for the trim on their pauldrons (shoulder pads). I have seen several pictures of red trim (for third company presumably) but also several with plain white trim matching the rest of their armour, I have wandered if White Scars have different trim for different types of squad (like the Raven guard).
Anyway was just hoping somebody might have a good answer.

Colour coding things like pauldron trim and kneepads is a Codex Astartes standard solution. I would imagine that the "official" white scars paint scheme also includes such things. However whether you actually paint them that way or not is up to you

White Scars are similar, prior to the 6th edition rulebook they had almost always been depicted either with red trims and a yellow or gold chest eagle, or else white trims with a red chest eagle. Back in 1st edition the White Scars secondary colour was red.
