I sincerely hope you can pull this off because I think done right, this'd look great. However, it's quite an ambitious thing to tackle and I suspect from the fact that you've had to ask if its feasible that you're not yet ready for it. I wouldn't normally try and put people off from converting but Centurions are SO expensive to lose if you screw it up.

I would think a Wolf Lord in Termie armour would be best - larger Wolves are by no means unheard of, after all Arjac is bigger than your average Termie. Perhaps with runic armour and the Belt of Russ to show how much tougher to kill he is (and not a bad idea on a Lord anyway). I suppose given the base size that you could also run them as counts-as Thunderwolves, but you'd probably need to model in some way of making them look a lot quicker on their feet for it to look right.
