				<description><![CDATA[ Greetings<br /> <br /> I have the pleasure of borrowing a friends Necron army for an upcoming event and am trying to come up with a take all comer list with the models at hand.  Looking for feedback but I can't do proxy and have a limited set of models to work with.  The missions are very center of the board centric and single primary so building with that in mind. Mostly just looking to come out with a winning record and having a good time regardless of mission or matchup.<br /> <br /> Here's the list I have in mind.  (In parentheses are the other similar options available)<br /> <br /> Stormlord (2 generic overlords also available)<br /> Destroyer Lord: <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(626);'>MSS</span>, 2+ save, res orb<br /> <br /> Despair tek: Veil (have 2 more crypteks models, 2 lords and a old <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(277);'>oop</span> necron that could be a cryptek in a pinch)<br /> Despair tek: Shroud<br /> Chrono tek: Chronometron<br /> <br /> 5 Deathmarks (have another 5 of these)<br /> <br /> 18 Warriors ( 30 additional available)<br /> <br /> 5 Warriors<br /> ^Ghost Ark<br /> <br /> 5 Warriors<br /> ^Ghost Ark<br /> <br /> 5 Immortals: Gauss (have 5 tesla too, as well as 7 more gauss)<br /> ^Nightscythe<br /> <br /> 4 Scarabs (14 more available)<br /> <br /> 3 Spyders: 2 Prisms<br /> Annihilation Barge<br /> Annihilation Barge<br /> <br /> Notes:<br /> --Chrono and Stormlord would join one of the ark units.  The veil tek would usually go with the deathmarks and the shroud would go with the immortals unless the mission/matchup dictated.  The spyders play counter charge for the 18 warriors while making scarabs that go hunting tanks or tying up a ket unit.<br /> --I am using all the vehicles I have available.  There are magnetized so I could change what they are but I can't add say a nightscythe or anni barge<br /> --Only have 3 wraiths at my disposal so that's why I'm not using them.<br /> --Have 6 destroyers, 3 heavy destroyers and a C'tan also but didn't figure they were worth it.<br /> --Mainly trying to hit the right mix of shooting, phalanx block for mid table control, cryptek support and counter charge.  I go back and forth regarding adding more warriors, who gets the night scythe, adding more crypteks, dropping stormlord for a regular overlord, etc etc.<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Where's the destroyer lord going?  With the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(344);'>DM</span>?  Nasty combo that, as you effectively autowound the marked unit.  Expensive though.  Or with the scarabs?  <br /> <br /> I like the concept of the list, but I don't think the Destro lord fits and he is a lot of points that could be usefully employed elsewhere.<br /> <br /> So, things to add:<br /> a)  Top up 18 man warriors to 20 man<br /> b)  Add 2 more scarab bases to start<br /> c)  Fabricator claws (at least 1) to repair <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(574);'>GA</span><br /> <br /> then consider getting a couple of Lanceteks, one with a pulse for the 5 man warrior squads.  May seem contradictory, but if you go second it is helpful to make it light!  Also, a couple extra warriors may be helpful.<br /> <br /> Consider beefing up the immortals in the scythe as an alternative to increasing warriors in ark?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I would drop the storm lord for a generic overlord. The storm lord is really expensive and has always disappointed me. Use the points to get the aforementioned lanceteks and maybe a solar pulse. I also agree the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(585);'>dlord</span> seems wasted. He is a mobile melee powerhouse and you want to put him in a squad where he can use his assets most effectively. Here's how I'd run the list<br /> <br /> <b>Necron Overlord</b>: warscythe; sempiternal weave; resurrection orb.<br /> • <b>1 Cryptek</b>: Harbinger of Despair.<br /> <b>Necron Overlord</b>: warscythe; sempiternal weave; resurrection orb.<br /> • <b>5 Crypteks</b>: 5× Harbinger of Destruction.<br /> <br /> <b>5 Deathmarks</b><br /> <br /> <b>5 Necron Warriors</b><br /> • <b>Ghost Ark</b><br /> <b>5 Necron Warriors</b><br /> • <b>Ghost Ark</b><br /> <b>20 Necron Warriors</b><br /> <b>10 Necron Immortals</b><br /> • <b>Night Scythe</b><br /> <br /> <b>Annihilation Barge</b><br /> <b>Annihilation Barge</b><br /> <b>3 Canoptek Spyders</b>: 3× fabricator claw array.<br /> <br /> <u><i>1,840 points</i></u><br /> <br /> 1 overlord with the warriors, the other with the immortals. 				<description><![CDATA[ This list is all over the place if I am honest and seems like more of a collection than an actual decent playable army.<br /> <br /> Firstly ditch Stormlord, he only adding the night fighting and that is it - this hinders you too. The lightning bolt thing is nice, if it hits.<br /> <br /> I would double on the Deathmarks and Depairteks and you can have two nasty units wounding things on a 2+ then.<br /> <br /> Then boost that unit of Necron Warriors up to 20 strong and add a Overlord in there with 2+ save, res orb, scythe and shackles. Throw in the Cryptek which fiddles with assault distances, this will make them harder to assault. The two Ghost Arks follow behind and regenerate any fallend Necrons.<br /> <br /> Pump up the Scarab numbersand add to the Spyders, they will make the Scarab unit massive and it will provide another threat away from the Warrior blob. The Spyders will act as counter assault. <br /> <br /> The ABs are fine and these can be your anti flyer. If you do ave enough points keep the Night Scythe but add Warriors and a haywire Cryptek.<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Thanks for the feedback guys.  <br /> <br /> Stormlord seems pretty hit or miss but with such a short ranged army it seemed like the nightfight and potential for extra S8 shooting would be nice.  However I was not convinced its worth the extra 100 points for him and the chrono --  so will probably drop him.<br /> <br /> The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(585);'>DLord</span> was definitely thought out as either joining the deathmarks and veil for harrasment and extending the effective range (large base on <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(471);'>DS</span> for extra couple inches of shenanigans), tanking and increasing the chance of killing stuff (upping rends and template wounds) OR sticking near or attached to the warrior block and either tanking and beefing their shooting or sling shotting with/for the scarabs.  Not sold on him at all, he was a last minute brainstorm before posting the list.<br /> <br /> I'll fiddle with the list some more, as I am liking the idea of two deathmark/veil units in the local meta.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I am a bit confused, how can a Destroyer Lord beef up Warriors shooting and how can the Destroyer Lord up rends and template wounds? The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(585);'>DLord</span> doesn't need to rend as it AP1 in close combat. <br /> <br /> The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(585);'>DLord</span> would work loads better with Scarabs. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Just to play devils advocate on Stormlord, I have used him in 5 maybe 6 games.  only twice has he not single handedly won me the game.  Only once did his lightning not strike at all the whole game.  Another time I used him his lightning hit a few times and caused some casulties but I failed to keep it going after the first turn even with the chrono.<br /> <br /> All of the other times his lightning was an absolute game changer.  So much that I stopped using him out of fear my opponents and friends would never stop complaining.  ]]></description>
