				<title>Farsight Pure Suit List 2k</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I don't understand the plasma-fusion teams. With no <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(328);'>ML</span> support 2 melta shots at bs3 is highly unlikely to kill a tank meaning you'll need 3 if not all those units with 9" of that tank and lots of the plasma shots will get wasted as they have to either fire also at said tank or shoot at distant targets. Wouldn't you be better off with some all plasma teams and just 1 or 2 all melta teams?<br /> <br /> Those burst cannon teams are 215 points for on average 23.67 hits. 12 Gun drones would be 168 points for on average 23.33 hits all pinning. So you get effectively the same firepower for 50 points less. You still have 12 T4 wounds so you're not even losing much survivability.<br /> <br /> What is your plan to deal with armies based on 2+ cover saves?<br /> <br /> Do you think that you need 3 Broadsides in each unit? With 6 in total wouldn't 3 units of 2 be more efficient (granted I run like this but with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(328);'>ML</span> support so with perhaps 3s are necessary?).]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I'm not talking about getting <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(328);'>MLs</span> I'm staying that 2 Bs3 melta guns has about a 25% chance to blow a tank in melta range. So rolling well you'll generally still need at least 2 if not 3 of those units within 9" of that tank.<br /> <br /> Where as if you had an all melta team you could drop that in next to tank kill it and use the plasma teams to murder the contents.<br /> <br /> Let me know how your volume fire plan works next time you face the Farsun bomb.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(328);'>MLs</span> aren't just for your rolling they are to deny your opponent the chance to roll too.  <br /> <br /> If you roll well then again splitting the Broadsides is probably a good idea.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Edit: The shrike is correct: drone squads are 70 pts each and fusion plasma squads are 164 pts (don't forget bonding knives too - required for farsight!)<br /> <br /> Hmm I'm a bit torn with this list...<br /> <br /> I'm just double checking on formatting, but I'm assuming your plasma fusion squads are:<br /> <br /> 1x shas'ui with 2x fusion blaster, target lock<br /> 2x shas'ui with 2x plasma rifle<br /> <br /> If so then I give my approval. I run a similar setup in my crisis teams: A shas'vre is given target lock and 2x fusion blasters while the 2 other suits are given either 2x plasma, plasma/missile pod, burstcannon/flamer, etc.<br /> <br /> I agree that a crisis team with 6 fusion blasters is much more efficient at killing vehicles, but often it can be overkill and puts all your eggs in one basket. A shas'vre with 2x fusion blasters/target lock as much more utility (while his team mates focus on their own task). A Shas'vre is a character so he will have precision shot - if no vehicles are around he can sniper and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>ID</span> most sergeants (and even <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>'s). Furthermore, my crisis teams usually run in pairs so I can essentially have the shas'vre from 2 squads focus as vehicle (4 fusion blasters). If no vehicles are around I have the tactical flexibility to deal with infantry - and do so effectively since it isn't just 6 fusion blaster shots.<br /> <br /> My point, leave the 2 fusion blasters as is.<br /> <br /> That being said, your suit loadouts are for the most part good (all Tau players have their own preferences) and your broadsides are pretty standard.<br /> <br /> There are a few things I'd like to see addressed though: <br /> <br /> 1. I think your drone squads have incorrect point costs. I know drones attached to suits are 12 pts each but in squads they are 14 pts each so your 5 drones should be 70 (don't have codex on me so please confirm).<br /> 2. You are spending (if my drone cost is correct) 163 pts for 5 BS5 markerlights.....  this is pretty overkill and a waste of points. For 99 points you can get a sniperdrone team with 3 marksmen and 4 sniper drones. You gain 4 sniper rifles with rapidfire at 24" range, stealth and 3 BS5 markerlights. Most importantly this frees up your commanders who can be given a combat role in your crisis teams. Each will give your crisis team <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>LD</span> 10, and you can equip them with 2x fusion blasters/target lock. If you were worried about lack of fusion blasters before well now you just added 2 per commander at BS5!<br /> 3. It would be nice if each suit squad was given a shield drone or 2, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(278);'>JSJ</span> is great, but your suits will die easily. A cheap shield drone can prevent that lascannon for instakilling your suit.<br /> <br /> If you need points for my suggestions then drop a burstcannon suit team to free up points for the sniperdrone teams, shield drones, and gear for your commanders.<br /> <br /> If you really want that 6th troop choice back then take:<br /> <br /> 75 pts 1x shas'ui with twin-linked missile pod, drone controller, bonded and 2 markerdrones<br /> <br /> The team above is scoring, and provides 2 BS3 markerlights - basically just an annoying little unit to camp an objective.]]></description>

As an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(67);'>IC</span> he and his drones can join the marker drone squad. After reading the drone rules, i believe that the drones with the commander are scoring, as it says under the drone section that alone they don't score or contest.]]></description>
