				<description><![CDATA[ ok so my first army list for 2k points, feed back is much appreciated as its my first army :3. if this does not belong in this thread please let me know :/<br /> <br /> List- <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> codex<br /> Chapter master w/ burning blade, artificer armor, bike, and shield eternal for that amazing 3++ and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(468);'>EW</span> I believe<br /> Librarian Tigurius 165<br /> 2 10 man <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squads with plasma cannon, normal Sgt. -<br /> 1 6 man squad of honor guard with chapter banner and thunder-hammer, (in a stormraven)-<br /> Sternguard 5 man all with combi-meltas, Sgt has lightening claw + plasma pistol w/ drop pod-<br /> Vanguard Vet Squad 5 man w/ lightening claws and Storm Shields in Drop pod-<br /> 5 man bike squad with vet Sgt -<br /> Predator with twinlinked lascannon x2<br /> Stormraven gunship with twinlinked lascannons and twin linked <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MMs</span>-<br /> Dreadnaught –<br /> <br /> Thanks! ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Welcome to the world of Army Lists! Hopefully you will learn a thing or two here. <br /> <br /> First thing's first, you have a large variety of units, which can be nice, but your list seems somewhat.... Disjointed.<br /> <br /> I'll start with your Tactical Squads. In this list, you only have 3 Troops choices (The 2 Marine squads, and the 5 man Bike squad is a Troop Choice because of your bike-mounted Chapter Master), which is okay, but your Tactical squads seem underutilised in this list.<br /> <br /> A Tactical Squad can have a special weapon, AND a heavy weapon when you have 10 marines in one squad. You can use this to a great advantage because Tactical squads can deploy as two seperate 5-Marine Combat Squads on the table top, meaning that you can hold back with your Heavy Weapon (Which can't fire after moving) and move forward with your Special Weapon marine and your Sergeant (which have a shorter range and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> power respectively). So it can be better to put on a Special Weapon on your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>Tac</span>. Squads. Even if you want to hang back with those <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>Tac</span> squads, putting a Flamethrower on your squàd will help, because a unit attempting to assault is fired at by the unit its assaulting, so a flamethrower can take the bite out of an assault. <br /> <br /> Now on to the point that bugs me; your Transports. You have some specialist units in drop pods and a Stormraven, your captain on a bike, but Tigurius and your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>Tac</span> Marines are left to walk. Your tacticals are the soldiers you use to capture objectuves, so unless you Combat Squad your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squads, you won't be firing those Plasma weapons too often, which is a waste of points then. You can fix this by using Combat squads like I said earlier, or by giving these squads rhinos. Your pick. <br /> <br /> The Dreadnought in this list I assume has the Multimelta and Powerfist as per an unupgraded dreadnought, which means he is somewhat vulnerable. With the new vehicle damage rules, vehicles like Predators, Rhinos, and Dreadnoughts are more fragile now. I would suggest using the Stormraven to fly it over. <br /> <br /> Be careful with your Vanguard Veterans; they can't assault on the turn that they land, so a Drop Pod may not be the best choice for them. In fact, considering their small number, they may not be a good choice, as they can be picked off when they deploy from their Pod. Consider taking that unit out of this list and saving it for when you play bigger ganes and can have a larger squadsize. <br /> <br /> Other than that, I would say its a fairly ok list, it really just depends how you use it. <br /> Hope this helps<br /> -Brotheralexos]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I take it you are new to the game as well? I agree somwhat with the above comments and only add the following.<br /> <br /> By loking at your list you seem to be taking a litle of this and a little of that. You are either trying to play test all those units or trying to be prepared for everthing. most generalized list like those do not work well.<br /> <br /> Compare the Drop pod list, each unit in the list can be tailored to preform a different function (anti-Infantry anti-tank assault, assault preventers etc.), however the Drop Pod list has a overwelming theme that focuses the list. There are other type of list to consider as well Gunline, flying mech, etc.<br /> <br /> Now example: your Sternguard 5 man 5 combi-meltas, Sgt has lightening claw + plasma pistol w/ drop pod. Does the sargent need that equipment? It's alot of extra points that removes him from the same task that his units preforms. If they die to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> after delivering thier anti tank massacre then so be it every list needs cannon fodder.  would he do just as well with a powersword and a combi melta? Most likely and you will save some points as well.<br /> <br /> do you need the honor guard? seems fluffy to me, exactly how much benefit will that banner and thunder hammer give you?<br /> <br /> Don't get me wrong unconventional lists can work as well, they tend to have less upgrades that are marginally useful. hope that helped<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Thanks for the input! <br /> <br /> sorry I had forgot to say the libby was with the honor guard (hopefully with that nice 4++ physic power) <br /> <br />  I was going to most likely combat squad them and keep the heavy weapons back, just needed the points. <br /> <br /> after looking through it I seem to have buggered the sternguard, the Sgt has a claw and a combibolter, no <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(166);'>plas</span> pistol. (claw costs the same as a power weapon and gets me shred. heh) I was hoping to have most of these hit the table round the same time though I am still unsure how plausible that is (cept the stormraven) <br /> <br /> Yes I kinda want to test the units out as these (and thier UM models) seem like some of the cooler <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> stuff. <br /> <br /> honor guard are well, a fluff/model love choice, I REALLY want them to work as I love the UM honor guard models and like the unit over all.<br />  I am also trying to get a good list that utilizes aspects of everything to form a stronger fighting force. the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(746);'>CM</span> is attached to the bike squad, still considering not bringing the burning blade. <br /> <br /> yes this will be my first army. I have watched many games and know some of the army "types" just wanted to me more fluff marine like and hope that it works :3 <br /> <br /> (the codex says 12 men and/or dreadnaught, does this mean I can stuff him in with my honor guard and libby?)<br /> <br /> also the vanguards have heroic intervention, so with a bit of ;luck they CAN assault the turn they land :3 with UM combat doctrines they get to reroll charge ranges for one turn.
