				<title>1500pts Vraks Traitor Guard w/Khorne CSM </title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hi Dakka,<br /> <br /> I've nearly finished a Nurgle <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> army project and am starting to think about the next, using the bits I have left over/lying around as a base, though I'm having a lot of trouble finalising it before I purchase more minis for it, so any suggestions would be most welcome. I'd like it to be fluffy but semi-competitive as well.<br /> <br /> I've decided on a 1500pts Vraks-themed Traitor Guard/Khorne army using the Guard and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> codex's (as the Vraks lists are sadly too out dated now and haven't got the same love as Krieg). I'm thinking along the lines of a small gunline as a base with some attacking threat from transports or infantry blobs. <br /> <br /> Here's my initial list - I already have the Ogyns, a Chimera and a Helldrake so I'd like the list to include those to help keep costs down - I also have a Khorne Lord and some 20 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span>'s lying around so my first list is based upon that, though they aren't essential for the list.<br /> <br /> <font color='orange'><br /> <b>RENEGADE GUARD</b></font> – 695/745pts<br /> <br /> Primaris Psyker - 70 <br /> <br /> Ogryn Squad – 130<br /> Chimera w/Heavy Bolter, Heavy Flamer - 55<br /> <br /> Platoon Command Squad w/Platoon Standard - 45<br /> Infantry Squad – 50<br /> Infantry Squad –50<br /> Heavy Weapons Squad w/3xAutocannon - 75<br /> <br /> Veteran Squad w/3 Plasmaguns - 115<br /> Chimera w/Heavy Bolters - 55<br /> <br /> Aegis Defence Line w/ (optional) Quad Battery - 50 (100)<br /> <br /> <b><font color='orange'>KHORNE <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> ALLIES</font></b> – 656pts<br /> <br /> Chaos Lord w/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(99);'>MoK</span>, Sigil of Corruption and Axe of Blind Fury - 135<br /> <br /> 9 Khorne Berzerkers - 181<br /> Rhino - 35<br /> <br /> Helldrake - 170<br /> <br /> Maulerfiend w/Lasher Tendrils - 135<br /> <br /> This would leave 100pts free to upgrade the Infantry Squads and maybe add another Heavy Weapons squad w/Mortars or else I could ditch the Maulerfiend in favour of a Leman Russ varient <img src="/s/i/a/8f7b3f87df347f2cf6c1e7d5e119a067.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br /> OR:<br /> <div style="margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:10px;">

				<description><![CDATA[ Drop the maulerfiend. As much as it sounds good, whoever you are facing will shoot it down before the fiend itself goes into combat. Of course it has it will not die, but that won't save it. My take is to instead either replace it into a forgefiend with the s8 AP4 assault 4 or the ectoplasmas. Even though it is bs3 it can be a much welcomed fire support for your army. Another thing to consider is the zerks. They dont really fit into this army composition. Putting them in a rhino means they need to exit the rhino then charge. By then it could spell death for your zerks. Most of your army is very shooty, not the zerks. Switch them for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> with melta for tank busting or flamers/plasmas for infantry killing.<br /> <br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: 9px; line-height: normal;">Automatically Appended Next Post:</span><br /> Drop the maulerfiend.
