left 400 points for an HQ, what HQ i take with him

This is however a very themed army, assault with big guns in the back!, i will most likely just do a formation like:

Tip o the spear: bolterpred
First line : Rhino Rhino. 2x crusad squad
Second line: Bolter pred. LRC. (Assault terma & HQ) bolter pred.
Third line:Las Pred. Assault squad Las pred

And debark in close combat.


Should be fun, but what HQ to take with 400 points left?

But I digress, I'm guessing you're Black Templars, judging by your use of sword brethren, which counts librarians out. If this is the case, use the High Marshall and/or Chaplain Grimaldus, because what's not to love about a mentally insane chaplain.

Other than that, I'm paranoid as **** about flyers, so I'd say you're weak in that area of anti-air of counter-air.

This is my first ever army list, and i havent ever played a game so please bare with my nubbishness.


My tactic will be
2 sword brothers, 8 initiates and 10 neophytes in 2 rhinos.
Captain, 5 Veterans(CS), 5 assault terminators in a LRC.
Following in their wake a Chaplain with a 5 man assault squad.
Whilst being spearheaded by the Dakkapreds and backed up by the Laspreds.


Like this, red line is enemy line.

I'd add a cheap HQ, maybe Just a Libby and a pair of Storm Talons.

Alternatively could Ally BA for another Shield Libby to make your Assault Marines Scoring, otherwise I'd look at dropping them help afford another two cheap troops in Rhinos or better yet Razorbacks.

Allright, should i remove Extraarmor from all my vehicles? 8 vehicles
I cant take libbies because i'm running BTemplars, i currently have a chaplain with burning blade attached to my assault unit, does that make it scoring?

And you need four troops in order to have double force organization chart. 2x foc let's you take double of everything, so: 4 hq, 12 troops, 6 elites, 6 fast attack and 6 heavy support. You just need to meet minimum requirements of 2 hq and 4 troops.

You could always just take a couple of cheap scout units to bump up your troops.
