I've been having fun with my henchman list.
1,500 points
Coteaz
3 mm servitors, 2 plasmaguns, 1 boltgun in a Chimera with a searchlight
4 psykers, 3 plasmaguns, 1 storm bolter, in a Chimera with a spotlight
4 psykers, 3 plasmaguns, 1 storm bolter, in a Chimera
4 psykers, 3 plasmaguns, 1 storm bolter, in a Chimera
3 plasmaguns, 1 storm bolter and 8 boltguns on foot.
3 plasmaguns, 1 storm bolter and 8 boltguns on foot.

IG allies
CCS with 4 melta guns in a Chimera (searchlight free)
PCS with 4 flamers in a Chimera (searchlight free)
Infantry squad
Infantry squad
Marbo
1 Vendetta
1 Griffon

Aegis Wall

I think it's pretty powerful, but not user friendly. Chimeras can be tricky to use with their large side arcs but I have a lot of experience with Chimeras. I'm having a blast with the list, it's both ultra violent and self destructive. The one thing I have noticed in the 6th ed meta is the Chimeras rarely explode. Most of the dakka flying at them is AP3 or worse, and when they wreck instead of explode they provide nice cover for the henchmen.

This is actually really close to the list that i am currently building towards, but with some non-mech elements in. Looks really quite strong to me, but I'd recommend a psyfleman dreadnought for turn 1 long ranged anti tank. Here's my list:

Grey Knights

Inquisitor Coteaz (using two powers from divination, hoping for ignores cover or the re-roll armour saves one and the primaris power) 100pts

Henchmen Warband with 3 Warrior acolytes with plasma guns and 2 servitors with multi meltas in chimera 117pts (Coteaz joins this unit)
Henchmen Warband with 3 Warrior acolytes with plasma guns and 1 psyker in chimera 107pts
Henchmen Warband with 3 Warrior acolytes with plasma guns and 1 psyker in chimera 107pts
Henchmen Warband with 3 Warrior acolytes with plasma guns and 1 psyker in chimera 107pts
Henchmen Warband with 3 Warrior acolytes with melta guns and 1 psyker in chimera 107pts

Dreadnought with two autocannons and psybolt ammunition 135pts
Dreadnought with two autocannons and psybolt ammunition 135pts

Imperial Guard

Company Command Squad with 3 meltaguns in chimera 135pts
Veteran Squad with 3 grenade launchers and autocannon in chimera 145pts
Vendetta with Heavy Bolter Sponsons 140pts
2 Griffons in a Squadron 150pts

There are plenty of chimera, natural cover, and the aegis wall to keep the foot units safe. If something can get behind the chimera to shoot at the foot henchmen they usually choose shooting av10 side instead of mowing down inexpensive henchmen.

Running behind the chimera for turns 1 and 2. Usually keeps up. The foot units have been performing well, and are inexpensive.

Air defense is middle of the road. Vendetta + CCS can tl their shots + coteaz for divination. It's enough not to sweat a couple of helldrakes or storm talons. Full french bakery could be problematic, but I'm just seeing it around much anymore

Automatically Appended Next Post:

DoomMouse wrote:
This is actually really close to the list that i am currently building towards, but with some non-mech elements in. I'm Already really tempted to add a 2nd griffon. I'm not too focused on getting 1st blood. I do have a psyfleman model, but just can seem to find the points.
