Im wondering if a Hawk Lords list I made will be legal to play due to the way reserves work. Havent played a single game of 6th ed. yet so figured id try something new. My local group rarely ever plays competitively, so this was just kind of a B.S. list i thought would be cool. Lemme know.

Captain with artificer armour, storm shield, and power weapon-145

Sternguard- 5 men with 5 combigrav-170

Venerable Dreadnought (no other upgrades)-125

Tac Squad 1- 10 men, melta, vet with combimelta-170

Tac Squad 2- 10 men, melta, vet with combimelta-170

Scout Squad with Land Speeder Storm with heavy flamer-100

Scout Squad with Land Speeder Storm with heavy flamer-100

3 Stormtalons ( no upgrades)- 330

3 Stormravens ( hurricane bolters on all with assault cannon and heavy bolter)-690.

Plan is to have captain with sternguard and dread in one raven, one tac squad in each other raven with a talon escorting each. scouts in speeder scout up into cover and rush objectives. should have enough dakka for most hordes/ medium infantry and 5 meltas to deal with armour. also have missiles on ravens to deal with flyers. I know only half my units may be in reserve, but flyers dont count towards that. My question is do the units embarked count against that or not since thay HAVE to stay in reserve since the flyers theyre embarked in have to be? thoughts, comments?
