1000 pts Tyranid list (for double tourney)

I am playing in a team tourney tomorrow at the FLGS and each player gets 1000pts with normal force org. My teammate is running space marines with lots devastators and shooting.

I like to run fun lists that get up in the other side, not so much hyper competitive lists. I have always been a nidzilla fan too. So I made 3 lists and I would like to see which one people think I should bring tomorrow?

List A
Swarmlord
Flyrant with double devourer
3 rippers
3 rippers
trygon
trygon

List B
Swarmlord
10 termegants
10 termegants
trygon
trygon
trygon

List C
Flyrant with double devourer
Flyrant with double devourer
Tervigon
Tervigon
10 termegants
10 termegants
10 termegants

Re:1000 pts Tyranid list (for double tourney)

If you are wanting to run the swarmlord and looking for a crazy tough unit that is still fun to play, I suggest a list like this:

Spoiler:

Tyrant Guard w LW -65

HQ

Swarmlord -280
Tyranid Prime w/ LW/BS, TS, AG, Regen, Devourer -125

Troops

10x termagants -50
10x termagants -50
10x termagants -50

Heavy

Carnifex w/ 2x devs -190
Carnifex w/ 2x devs -190

The basic idea is to combine Swarmlord, TG, and Prime into a single unit so you can LoS wounds to either of the two flanks, regen some from the Prime, then hope for Iron Arm/Endurance/Warp Speed on Swarmlord. Ive had this combo get +3 S, T, I, A, and have EW, IWND, FNP from Endurance before... just nasty

Lots of shooty, with the ability to spread out, and should anything manage to get through the terma shield, you have a wall of TL, S6 shots for them before they meet their demise to the Swarmstar. Basically you have the ability to move as a single huge block of death.

I also suggest taking ST instead of the dev on the Prime, but this way you still get an overwatch. Up to you.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
of the 3 lists though, C is the most competitive, B looks like the most fun.

Re:1000 pts Tyranid list (for double tourney)

The reason I ask is that you might find if you gear your armies to where one is focused on killing and the other focuses on objective holding, you might find more success... and as we all know... Tervs pooping gants are almost impossible to clear off of objectives... so if your partner was going to focus on chewing through your opponents, it might behoove you to take a terv heavy list and just park your pregnant self on as many objectives as you can.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
If you were looking for a strong objective team, and having your partner do all the shooting, I would go with something like this:

Spoiler:

HQ

Tervigon w/ TS -170
Tervigon w/ TS -170

Troops

10x termagants -50
10x termagants -50
10x termagants -50
Tervigon w/ TS -170
Tervigon w/ TS -170
Tervigon w/ TS -170

No variety (read: boring), but you will be darn near impossible to clear off of objectives provided you hold off spawning until you are "parked"

Now, if you are in charge of clearing things out, I might go with something like this:

Spoiler:

HQ

Flyrant w/ 2x devs -260

Elite

2x Zoanthropes w/ Spod -160 (I would probably have one of the zoans roll book powers *cough* Biomancy 2x unless you get IA first roll, then Telepathy Primaris *cough*, the other kept normal for AV14 lancing)

Troops

10x termagant -50
10x termagant -50

Heavy

Carnifex w/ 2x Devs, TS, Spod -240
Carnifex w/ 2x Devs, TS, Spod -240

You have a ton of S6 TL dakka here, with your biggest threats coming in via Spod. Having immediate threats with good mobile synapse for those big boys is, at worst, something your opponent MUST deal with next turn. Letting your troops out of synapse isnt an issue because if you are running this list, your teammate should be the one holding the objectives.

Again, these lists are merely suggestions if you are looking at making the two lists as an "almost single army" feel.

If you are strictly sticking to the original 3 lists though, list B looks like the most fun for my playstyle
