Personally I see the point of taking Typhus is to have Plague Zombies, which look cool and are good, annoying scoring units that can withstand a lot of firepower if they cling to cover over some objectives.

I'd keep the bones of it and maybe have a few changes into something like this:

That'll give a lot of tough to remove Troops while the Obliterators, Helldrake, Bikes & Daemons do the killing. This said at 3000pts you have plenty of options, so you could squeeze in another drake or remove some Zombies for some more bikers etc. You could swap out the Beasts for a unit of Spawn or some more Plague Drones etc.
