the following is the rough outline of a fluffy/semi-competitive Salamander army.

I want to keep the mechanized vibe

I want to try and keep the flamers/Meltas

I need help with the last 362 points!

Here is the base list:

HQ

Vulcan -190

TROOPS

Tactical Squad 10-man - MM, Flamer, Combi-Melta, Rhino - 200

Tactical Squad 10-man - MM, Flamer, Combi-Melta, Rhino - 200

ELITES

9xSternguard, 1xHvy Flamer, 2xCombi-weapons, Rhino - 273

10xSternguard, 1xHvy Flamer, 2xCombi-weapons, Rhino - 295

Vulkan would ride with a unit of Sternguard

I have thought about adding another Tactical squad.

I want to put a couple of tanks in the list after reading the Salamander fluff in the codex last night and reading how they like the feel of the ground under their feet and the rumbling of tanks!

Would predators work in this list? Should they be triple las predators or Autocannon and Hvy bolters?

and is your second squad of Vets undercosted? I think its 305 pts.

In the last edition I would do a Land raider with an assault squad, but Vulkan no longer makes thunder hammers master crafted, so I am not into the unit currently, plus I couldn't afford them with the 362pts I have left?

Land raider redeemer w/multi-melta - 250pts

10xSternguard, 1xHvy Flamer, 2xCombi-weapons, Rhino - 295pts

Troops:
2x10 Marines, Multi-melta, Flamer, Combi-melta, Rhino - 400pts

Current total: 1360pts

leaves me with 140pts if my math skills are right...

Would this be a stronger list? What should I do with the last 135pts?
