magma cutters; Anti tank no-brainer monstrosity.

Lasher thendrils could works really good Vs, DE, Orks, Nids and other Horde types armies, seeing that most of them have low Armor on their vehicles anyway and have lots of models with 3-4 attacks, having the ability to deny them -2A per models is pretty darn good.

Magma Cutters, works good against all those armies who uses vehicles with at least a Av13.

in Both cases the Maulerfiend is really fast and can go after its target early in the game.

But be warry that he can't do everything on his own, you will need to give some kind of escort, preferably something has fast has him, cavalry,Bikes, Jump Inf,beasts and such.
