It is because the Farsight Supplement explicity allows for this. The Iyanden Supplement does not allow this and indicates how we can play with the Iyanden Supplement (IE: cannont ally Eldar with Iyanden).

Footdar work in a lot of circumstances, Reece from front line gaming proved that. now I would try to put my Farseer on a jetbike aswell, it takes one failed strength 6 wound to kill him outright. otherwise I like the list, the Wraith lords will be tough to stop and the Wraithblades I can see surviving with a Spirit seerer leading them (conceal/reveal). the War walkers probably will be killed first but if they survive give you great AT/AA (if guided)

The spiritseers don't have conceal/reveal since I'm using the iyanden supplement. It replaces that power with voice of twilight which lets all wraith units within 12" battlefocus and furious charge.

I'm keeping the farseer off the bike and with the wraithblades so he can guide/prescience and hopefully fortune. I've never used this unit before but it always was appealing

I've run a Wraithstar before and it is actually fairly interesting. The big difference is that I used Wraithguard w/ D-Scythes as counter measure against it being assaulted. However, you have an aggressive unit that will get to the center of the board and simply control that location. Fortune is nice to have, but it is the Spirit Seers who are also doing a lot of the heavy lifting with their buffs and debuffs. My first game against a player with torrent AP3 flamer was a bit miffed when I was able to buff my Wraithguard to have 2+ armor save.

The Warp Spiders are a very solid unit.

I think you've found the sweet points spot for the War Walkers. For 140 points, I've found they really do a lot of heavy lifting for that amount of points and if I lose them, it's not horribly detrimental.

I've not tried to run 20 Dire Avengers on foot, so really no advise on that.

With a single Farseer, I think you're gameplan is the best you can utilize him for. Don't rely on Fortune at all and just go to buff other shooting units. With only three total powers and two being default powers, I've found whatever I get in the Divination chart more useful than the wishful roll to get Fortune ( I always end up with Death Mission or some such). Misfortune on the Divination tree has become my favorite power and it is deceptively powerful.

I think WL definitely have a place, but have simply been overshadowed by other choices in the HS section. Wraithknights and Vaul's Wrath batteries and even Dark Reapers (with Tau Buff Commanders) tend to get more visibility. However, the WL has great utility and are vastly improved regarding how they can be kitted out from the previous codex.

Brightlances are important and reasonably priced. All it takes is to run into someone running multiple Land Raiders to be thankful you took them.

Overall, I like the list. You are giving a forward pressure that must be dealt with and I can see a lot of synergy with the army. Let us know how it plays out.

Eldar footlist 1850pts

I tried it vs. my brothers white scars/space wolves and got destroyed. The dice gods showed me only false hope today.

The dire avengers didn't perform that well as I rolled horribly for their saves, but even so, I don't think they work very well on foot. I need to find something to replace them or put them in serpents. I was really trying to avoid using serpents because I already know that they are reallllly good.

The wraithlords have a place in a different list than this one. I need more of a fire base, they just don't put out enough shots for the points. I have a lot of trouble getting them into combat as well.

The jetbikes fit, but I think only need 3 just for late objective grabbing.

The wraithblade star was reallly effective though, I luckily got fortune but what really helped them in combat was prescience. They are able to put out a devastating amount of S7 ap2 wounds which can be str8 if you get empower for ID or AV.

I made some major revisions to the list, but I'd like to know what you guys think.

In 5th Footdar relied on cover and Fortune (x2 from Eldrad). Neither is reliable anymore. You have to roll to get Fortune and many things just ignore cover now.

The other thing that worked in favor of Footdar in 5th was that it was an infantry force in a mechanized world where things were geared towards popping transports. With the changes to transports in 6th, the game has shifted back towards infantry and people take more anti-infantry capability in their lists. .

The Guardian Helm should work well with a dedicated assault unit. Prescience would work well with the Wraithguard, but if you make assault, you are going to be in good shape anyways. There are only a few exceptions, but a T6, S7 AP2 with 4++ is going to be a hard hitting assault element. It's just that you have to reach assault in which cagey players will make very difficult. But, they are a scoring unit at the bare minimum.

I've used Scatter/Starcannon and it has served me well. However, I generally utilize Outflank as there is so much out there that can get ride of the WW quickly. I think this build may see more playtime with the releases of the Marine Codex.

I have not had success with Fire Prisms. On paper they look awesome because of the utility. However, it seems the only useful shooting from them will be against tanks. Because I have no way to ignore cover with the tank, it tends to be very 'meh' against infantry.
