Ideally it should be just over 6x4 ft, and not your "standard green" one. I don't want to do battle on a golf course!
Do you know any companies that make these kinds of modelling mats? I found a good one called Javis, but they only make small ones, like 2x1 ft.

Theres the link to one of them but they have them in a variety of colours. They come in 50inch by 100 inch so something like 4.1 feet by 8.1 feet.

They're not terribly expensive, though, and look better than a lot of the alternatives, especially in their price range. Worth considering, at least, especially since you can beef them up a bit with a few sprayed coats of highly dilute PVA. IDK about square cut section mats but it seems an obvious thing to make. The problem would be to generate enough volume of orders to be profitable.
