Well, its definitely hard to read. If you want the Stormlord, let him lead a large squad of Immortals. A Tomb Stalker could make their weapons twin linked. I've seen such a list at work and it did pretty well.
Your list lacks troops. Where is the Monolith for?

I like the list, however, what is the purpose of the scarabs? Are they more of a support roll or they hunting something in particular?

I assume your warlord with be Stormlord...If he's with a small unit of Immortals, you run the risk of failing morale and running off the table after just losing 2 models.

Otherwise, I like that each unit(s) have defined rolls. That's important in tournament play!

I Like the list concept - should work well. The only suggestion I have is in respect of the monolith....I hear what you are saying in respect of the benefit of AV14.

If it works in your meta, then take the Monolith. As an alternative, 3 spyders would also I think work well in your list. You could even give a couple of them guns with the spare points, or chuck in a couple more coils.

I actually haven't thought about spyders that's a good idea, I will have to playtest the two and see which works better since my only real even semi reliable way to fight a screamerstar (I fairlh consistently fight one in our meta) is to tarpit it with wraiths and vaccum them up with the monolith portal while the rest of my army takes out the DPs, Fatey, and silly lesser daemons (scarabs have been fairly great at doing this, the enemy DPs are afraid to charge them since I jump from cover to cover to keep the DPs at I1 if they charge, and losing that armor would kill them right away since the rest of the saves will be invul).

With spyders it somewhat limits my effectiveness towards a screamerstar since I do not have a way around that nasty 2++ which is one of the reasons I considered the monolith orginally when making this list because everything I have tried so far has been bunk and unsuccessful. But with the spyders I feel I could do much better vs non-tau or eldar but I feel I am already effective enough vs those armies

That's the one aspect of Crons I don't understand.....towering robots that can be susceptible to mind games? Pffft.

You see I think it is the exact opposite. I think Necrons shouldn't get a Deny the Witch. It is not mind games but the power of the warp which to fight against you must either:

a) Be able to control the warp yourself and thus must understand it which a robot wouldn't.
b) Deny its very existence through sheer force of will, which a robot again wouldnt be able to do.

As for Screamer star. I quite like the Monolith idea. Unless they just assault the Monolith and kill it. So you'll have to protect it. I don't rate GK allies as an effective tool against it though. Granted mind strike missiles can work. But they don't arrive until turn 2 and it may be too late to do anything about it by then (as it could already be locked in combat). SW allies would be the better bet to just shut down their psychic powers without the 4++ from divination they are at a big weakness. The other option is IG with the Storm Lords 4+ steal the best way to deal with Screamerstar can just be to pie plate it to death turn 1 before it gets its 2++ rerollable up.

Re:Necrons 1850 Competitive for a RTT

Played 2 games last night with the list.

I played the monolith vs a nurgle+houndstar and it preformed fantastic. It tied blasted a good amount of hounds of the table with its big gun and grounded some MCs with its small guns. The portal never got in range of the houndstar since he counter deployed them on the other side of the board. In the end I lost the match due to misplaying my a group of my wraiths and my scarabs t1 and losing them both very quickly to the hounds and DPs.

I played the spyders vs a tau gunline and they did little to nothing outside of soaking up a missleside team's shots for a turn. The extra bodies spawned didn't matter much when the scarabs hit the line and won a multi assault vs a couple FW squads. I feel that if I would have had the monolith I would have had a better shot at winning this match (we drew with one objective each, first blood for tau and line breaker for me, the middle objective was contested by his buffmander and suits and my warriors) the monolith would have easily been able to gib a few suits or some blobs of infantry each turn.

I don't feel the spyders synergize well with this list and are just spare bodies whereas the monolith provides me a durable source of s8 for gibbing suits, hounds, and the like. Also it provides an alternative source of damage to bypass those silly rerollable 2+ from things like seekerstars, and seer councils etc.
