Shades and Glazes on white primer

Does anyone have any pics of what the Shades and Glazes look like when put onto a white undercoat? If anyone can link me to such pictures that'd be great.

I'm thinking of painting a Farsight Tau army in such a fashion (white primer then various shades/washes/glazes), and would like to see what the potential end-results would be, before I go spending money.

secret weapon miniatures used to have small mayan style plates that were based white, then inked/washed with colors, to show how the color looked, but now you can only see a glympse of it if you go to the home page and see the link in the middle that says "washes"

although you MIGHT be able to shoot an email off to them asking if they still have the images in their archives/Hard drives, and if they would be kind enough to send you those pics.

as soon as i read your OP, that was the FIRST thing that popped in my head.

Google has provided such pictures of the SW washes, and I like what I see. I even found a tutorial that painted non-GW models with just those washes, and the results were excellent.

Thanks for the tip AO.
