I've undercoated them with black carpaint. For their skin I started off with Citadel Layer Gorthor Brown, then a drybrush of Citadel Bestial Brown before a light drybrush of Vallejo German Cam Pale Brown. It looks alright - not amazing but okay. Where I'm struggling a bit now is:

horns - Ideally I'd like them a bone/cream colour, what should I layer on? Painting straight on to the black undercoat looks terrible.

fur - I think a dark red could look good, any suggestions?

weapons - I drybrushed boltgun silver straight onto the blades and it looks stupid. Far too shiny.

For the horns you should start with a dark brown, like Rhinox Hide. Build it up to bone/cream and make sure you leave small 'streaks' of the dark brown towards the bottom.
