				<description><![CDATA[ Hello folks! Been toying with the idea of Shining Spears sort-of deathstar, which will cut down on my shooting, but will give me a very dangerous <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> threat that is also quite capable at range. One thing I'm still not sure about is whether to take a Soulshrive/Fusion Gun combo for the Autarch or just go for the Celestial lance. If anyone has any experience with either of those items, let me know!<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>: <br /> <br /> Autarch(Warlord): Eldar Jetbike, Banshee Mask, Celestial Lance or Soulshrive/Fusion Gun, Scorpion's Chainsword - 128/133<br /> <br /> Farseer: Eldar Jetbike, Singing Spear, Shard of Anaris - 160<br /> <br /> <br /> Troops:<br /> <br /> 5 Rangers - 60<br /> <br /> 3 Windrider Jetbikes with Shuriken Cannon - 61<br /> <br /> 10 Defender Guardians - 90<br /> + Wave Serpent: Scatterlasers, Holofields/GWM(depending on whether I take Celestial Lance or the other combo), Shuriken Cannon - 145/140<br /> <br /> 10 Dire Avengers - 130<br /> <br /> <br /> Fast Attack: <br /> <br /> 8 Shining Spears: Exarch with Star Lance, Hit and Run, Monster Hunter - 240<br /> <br /> 10 Warp Spiders - 190<br /> <br /> 6 Swooping Hawks - 96<br /> <br /> <br /> Heavy Support:<br /> <br /> Wraithknight - 240<br /> <br /> 3 War walkers with 2 Scatterlasers each - 210<br /> <br /> <br /> Total: 1750<br /> <br /> <br /> If your general reply is going to be that 1 Serpent is 5 Serpents too few, don't bother, I know what kind of lists I can make with Eldar, the point here is to tone down the shooting and still remain in the competitive zone. I am willing to fit 1 more Serpent in the list, no more than that. The thing I am most on the fence about are my troops. I tried different combinations and this one is actually one I like the most. Those Dire Avengers on foot supposedly will die fast, but any long-range firepower will be aimed elsewhere(or should be, if they are targeting my Avengers, I've already lost or my opponent has no sense of target priority) and they can dance outside the range of rapid fire weapons, so can limit the return fire from small arms. All in all, I like the feel of this one the best out of any I've played before, so I'm wondering whether I can improve upon it somewhat. And I'm hoping you guys and gals might help me with that. <br /> <br /> Cheers!]]></description>

				<title>Shining Spears, take the lead! 1750 Eldar list</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I like the list, and the shining spear star should be a lot of fun. Not super super competitive, but still pretty strong.<br /> <br /> The celestial lance is just garbage, sad to say. The actual statline is worse than a star lance( S6 in combat!) and spirit shatter makes for a terrible mechanic. The wording makes it sound like it won't work if the lance shoots a character/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MC</span> dead. Then, if somehow it works on the turn you charge, it puts a large blast over the slain model, hurting all of your shining spears in the process. For a weapon that the phoenix lord of the spears once used...it sucks. If you kill a tervigon or something with it, then the blast lets out a high S blast, there goes some models. <br /> <br /> The soul shrive is far better, as it is always AP2 in all rounds of combat and cheaper. Sure you have to buy a meltagun, but a meltagun is better for shooting with AP1 and melta at the max range of the lance. Once you get a couple of wounds to stick with it, your Autarch will become a total beast, shredding anything you touch. <br /> <br /> I understand you want the shard of anaris for fearless, but a farseer is not exactly great in combat. Your paying a lot for fearless(but its worth it) and the combat bonuses don't really add much. You could just put the shard on the autarch over either Iyanden weapon, and take the farseer with just a spear. <br /> <br /> The rest of the list is fine, so long as you use it right. Troops are fine, so long as you start your jetbikes in reserve, and maybe even the rangers. Using them to outflank and steal/camp backfield for linebreaker and/or scoring can be really good. On the field, depending. <br /> <br /> Lots  of fast attack presence, and solid heavy support. If you get a heavy alpha strike against your spears you will be in trouble, and they do need a turn to set up the charge. It is not point and click, but with the difficulty of playing should come a rewarding game from a strong list. I want to see a a batrep of this list, It will be interesting if nothing else. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Thanks for the comment! I will be looking to get a good game this Saturday, so hopefully I'll have something to write down. <br /> <br /> I thought about cutting down some points from the Spearstar by giving the Autarch the Shard, but I really like the utility of a S6+ AP2 weapon. And I don't like to go in without a Shard. That just leaves too many points open for one failed morale roll. ]]></description>
