				<title>how do i stop paint from giving a chalky look?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ hello im a new member to this site but i have found alot of useful information on this website,  Anyways ive been looking everywhere but with no luck, my question is this; every time i paint with light colours (eg. ice blue ) and i use white to lighten them up more, it always turns out chalky, and i cant figure out why.. any help would be greatly appreciated ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Which colour brand do you you use? The normal Citadel and vallejo whites will get chalky very easily if diluted just a bit too much. The pigments are relatively big and dont flow evenly, especially when thinned with normal water. <br /> <br /> For that reason (and aesthetic ones) a lot of people will tell you not to use white for mixing highlights at all.<br /> <br /> You should check out <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(194);'>PP</span>'s liquid pigments range.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Instead of water, you can use a tiny amount of Citadel Lahmain Medium as a mixing agent.It might help. It what i do with my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> whites and I dont worry about "da CHalk effects" <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(84);'>lol</span>.
