As for the Lord, can he take a burning brand and combi melta? He only has one ranged weapon to start with to exchange (bolt pistol) and one melee weapon to swap for his power sword. That means IIRC he can only carry two weapons.

Personally I would drop the combi and keep the burning brand. Also, the brand and combi-melta is legal as the brand is an Artifact. But it seems a waste to have both. I would drop the combi-melta and go for the one more attack that the bolt pistol grants.
