Well, there's a new codex coming in less than a month (see the News & Rumors subforum).

So, don't buy new models just yet. But, if trying to build a competitive list for the next few weeks... Don't use Genestealers. Right now, they suck. As in awful. Really, never use Stealers. But! New book soon, so they may be better then! I hope so, personally. HQ: Tervigon. Toxin, Adrenal, Catalyst, scything talons. 200.
Troops: 2x 10 Termagants with Devourers. 200.
Elites: 2x 8 Ymgarl Stealers and 1x 9 Ymgarl Stealers. 598.

There's a 998 point list with decent ability to put out shots, and is pretty dangerous in CC. Agree on genestealers being poor. At 1,000 pts though Nids can still put out one of the most dangerous armies there ...
