unstable models

I have a few models that are not very stable like my banner bearers. I was thinking about hot gluing a washer underneath the model. Does anyone know if the hot glue will melt or worp the base. I don't really have any spare bases to test it on. Any help would be great.

Nickels should fit perfectly, by the way, and yes, use superglue.

Washers are theoretically better but in my experience a bag of washers seems to always average out to be about 5 cents anyway, and you can't generally just buy a handful of them, and you have to go to the hardware store to get them.... try nickels, is my advice.

No, the hotglue wont hurt it.

Also, I would suggest getting small fishing line weights from any sporting goods section of a store - they are heavier, and you can cram more of them in there.

Yes, nickels and super glue, or the Plastic Glue Thick from GW has worked fine for me too. Also I've found when working with the larger bases that have the drill hole markers on the bottom (I don't know what you call them) I have glued a nickel or a couple of pennies on top of the base and then based over them to make the scenery look a little more dramatic

They've worked great as I was able to place the weight to counter balance what I wanted without making the whole model too heavy
