I have recently started my Iron Warriors Chaos Space Marine army and in need of some advice for doing hazard stripes. Most of the examples and guides I have seen so far employs the use of much free-hand, a technique which I regret to admit I have absolutely no skill at. Its bad enough doing it on a flat, square surface, for my Iron Warriors, I need to make it happen on their armor which are often times cylindrical or smoothly curved.

So does anyone have any idea on doing hazard stripes "easy" way without using so much freehand?

Paint black where the tape isn't.

Frisket film is even more flexible, and that is what I normally use since I keep it handy.

For most of this sort of thing though, I like decals. You can get hazard marking decals which are almost any size you can think of and with a good decal solvent, they will lay flat over all but the most complex compound curves.
