				<title>1000 pt sm list</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hey guys, so I'm fairly new to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span> with only a few games under my belt. I'm playing in a escalation campaign that is currently at a 1000pt cap and the pt cap increases every 2 weeks by 250pts. If I could I would get you guys' advice on my list and what would make it better(also until it gets to 1250pts land raiders and flyers are illegal).<br /> Here's what I've come up with:<br /> <br /> Chaplain on bike with burning blade and melta bombs<br /> Venerable Dread with dual <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>tl</span> autocannons<br /> 1st 10 man <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squad with missile launcher, plasma gun, and melta bombs<br /> 2nd 10 man <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squad with multi-melta,melta, and melta bombs<br /> 2 attack bikes with a multi-melta and a heavy bolter <br /> A predator with all las cannons and a storm bolter<br /> thunderfire cannon <br /> <br /> This all comes out to be 1000pts exactly. <br /> Oh yes, I forgot to mention as a special campaign rule any unit you ever field in the tournament you have to include in your lists from then on out. You can change the loadout and manpower of that unit but the basic unit must still be there. My additions I'm thinking of including are the 2 bikes and the thunderfire cannon. <br /> <br /> Last thing, as a bonus of having a unit in the campaign the unit earns xp from scoring objective points and once it has accumulated enough Xp you get to roll on a ability chart and earn a ability. The ones that are on my units are as followed. <br /> <br /> Chappy: poisoned Melee weapon<br /> Dread: veteran of a thousand battles, it will not die, and a 6+ invul save<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>Tac</span> 1: infiltration<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>Tac</span> 2: scout<br /> predator: power of the machine spirit<br /> <br /> Thanks guys, all advice is greatly appreciated. <br /> ]]></description>

If so, what are you running?<br /> <br /> I feel like you're spreading out a bit by adding the attack bikes. <br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(420);'>TFC</span> is always a good option, if not maybe a bit earlier then I'd add it.<br /> <br /> Trying to look into the future here. I'd probably add a second dread instead. <br /> <br /> I'd add in &gt;&gt;&gt;pods&lt;&lt;&lt; or rhinos for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squads.<br /> <br /> From 1000-1250, flyers become legal? 2 x storm talon with skyhammer = 250 pts. <br /> <br /> Coincidence?
