				<title>1750pt Dark Angels list - hopefully competitive</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Right so after suffering a series of crushing defeats for my vanilla marines, i have a noticed 3 consistent, recurring facts.<br /> 1. Tacticals are simply not good at anything and die very easily in 6th.<br /> 2. The only units that get gak done in my tactical heavy list are sternguard and hammernators<br /> 3. Assaults are way more effective than i thought, especially with said hammernators against vehicles, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>mcs</span> and occupied buildings.<br /> <br /> Granted, I'm feeling bitter because I just played a 3v3 1750 per player game and my team was marine, marine and grey knights and i was the only player to even try to hold objectives in planetstrike. Against tau, eldar, chaos and necrons we got smoked. Annoyingly, i thought the grey knights would at least get some cheasy kills (the list was draigo, coteaz, 2 raiders and two dreadknights) but the raiders got blocked in by awful random deployment and generally we just had way to much firepower coming at us. <br /> <br /> HOWEVER<br /> My hammernators and hammer lord did a lot of damage, blowing up rhinos, killing whole squads of plagues, necron lords, obliterators before succumbing to massed fire when theyd finally cleared themselves of combat. Plus my sternies have always pulled their weight, wounding high toughness troops and generally mowing down <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(45);'>geqs</span> by the truckload. So i started thinking, wouldnt it be great tot just take these units instead of my tacticals, who accomplished nothing (aside from a lucky shot with an icarus lascannon that finished off a wraithknight)? And witht the inquisition supplement out, i started putting this together:<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>: Belial w/ Thunderhammer and shield<br /> 190 pts<br /> Troops: Deathwing Squad with hammers and shields<br /> 245 pts<br /> Troops: Deathwing Squad with hammers and shields<br /> 245 pts<br /> Elites: Veteran squad (not sternguard obvs, just the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span> ones) with 3 x combi melta, meltagun and multi melta w/ rhino<br /> 265 pts<br /> Elites: Veteran squad, 3 combi meltas, meltagun, multimelta and rhino<br /> 265pts<br /> Heavy support: whirlwind (another cheap unit that has always been handy)<br /> 65pts<br /> Heavy support: Land raider redeemer (for Belial and a squad of termies, the other can teleport)<br /> <br /> Inquisitorial allies (keep in mind i havent seen the book yet but from what people are saying points are basically unchanged from grey knights)<br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>: Inquisitor <br /> 25pts<br /> Elites: 3 Henchmen<br /> 12 pts<br /> Fast Attack: Valkyrie with Lascannon and Hellstrike missiles<br /> 115pts<br /> <br /> Total: 1667 points. This gives me an 83 point margin of error in case the inquisitor cost is changed.<br /> <br /> Now my only reason to include the inquisitor stuff is that i really loathe the marine flyers, both aesthetically and crunch wise. Whereas i already own a valkyrie and thus wont have to add to my criminally large <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span> fund anymore (i already have everything on the list, just add the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span> transfers and ta da).<br /> <br /> Thoughts and suggestions would be great, especially from other <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span> players as i dont know too much about them and how they differ from vanilla. I will likely play this list as is at least once, because a) i already have everything i need and b) i'm still smarting from the brutal loss suffered yesterday.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Cool, yeah heavy weapons would be useful, my other option is another cheap troop choice as i worry that if my termies are both scoring and primary shock troops i may be left unable to take objectives. Thats the other reason for the inquisitor team in the valk, as they count as a scoring unit now apparently?<br /> <br /> And okay thats good, about belial and his bros teleporting, means i can take a regular raider for the other squad. I feel i could use the extra lascannons maybe?]]></description>
