Dirty Desert Camo Scheme - suggestions?

Hi all

I'm looking for some help in picking a desert camo scheme. I'm looking to use GW paints and have a basecoat, a highlight, a shade and a contrast colour. My first thought is a dunkelgelb kind of yellow with tan as a body armour/boots contrast colour. Happy to hear any suggestions, or if you have any good pics or links, I'd love to see those too.

Not desert, but this is a scheme I just did which might spark some ideas:

The basecolor is Vallejo MIddlestone washed with Argax Earthshade. The splotches are Vallejo Reflective Green and Vallejo Chocolate Brown, with stipples of the same Middlestone inside. For a desert pattern, you could substitute the Reflective Green with a light brown.

Thanks for the input.

I was going to try to just stay with GW paints. One thing I don't like about the way the new paints are sold is that I don't see the straight relation between all the colours. Example, this is your base desert yellow, here's a highlight.

Your camo scheme looks great, but, I'd go crazy doing that on an IG army

For camo patterns, I like the Vallejo line. Their Vallejo Model Color are aimed at military models/figures, so they have a very nice range colors that can meet your needs.

Honestly, the camo pattern above isn't that time consuming. You can even buy the Middlestone in spray (Army Painter), wash Argax Earthshade and then use a stippling brush to paint on blotches. Inside each blotch, put 3 little dots of Middlestone.
