				<description><![CDATA[ Hi Dakkadakka,<br /> <br /> I have a 1850 Tau list I'm starting to warm up to but I want to ally something with it. But first my Tau list:<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>: Commander 2xMP, CCN, PEN, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(626);'>MSS</span>, Iridium, EO, VT, NSJ<br /> <br /> Elite: Riptide, Ion Accelerator, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(658);'>EWO</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(153);'>FB</span><br /> Elite: Riptide, Ion Accelerator, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(658);'>EWO</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(153);'>FB</span><br /> <br /> Troops: 6xFire Warriors<br /> Troops: 6xFire Warriors<br /> Troops: 10xKroot, hound<br /> Troops: 10xKroot, hound<br /> <br /> Fast Attack: 4xPathfinders<br /> Fast Attack: 4xPathfinders<br /> <br /> Heavy Support: Sky Ray, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(560);'>BF</span><br /> Heavy Support: Sky Ray, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(560);'>BF</span><br /> Heavy Support: 3xBroadside, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(658);'>EWO</span><br /> <br /> If I run <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(124);'>SW</span> I'm thinking about the following to help shut down psykers (I'm looking at you Eldar seer councils and Daemon screamerstars).<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>: Rune Priest in Power Armour <br /> Troops: 8xGrey Hunters, metlagun<br /> Heavy Support: Land Raider, Multi-melta<br /> <br /> If I run <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span>+Inquisitor I'm thinking of the following.  Again, it's primary use is to generate large <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> blast templates of death that could be used for sniping since it's barrage.  Would be useful against deathstars who rely on a single character to keep the whole thing running:<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>: <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'><span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(338);'>CCS</span></span><br /> Troop: <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCS</span>, 2xIS (plasma gun, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(5);'>AC</span>)<br /> Heavy: manticore<br /> Inquisitor: Coteaz (he joins the 2xIS and become his ablative wounds)<br /> <br /> Or am I just looney tunes?  Which ally would make sense in a tournament setting?]]></description>

Drop a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(39);'>FW</span> squad buff up those pathies and add some sniper rounds to your kroot.  I just don't see anything but the riptides and broadsides staying on the field past turn 2 there.]]></description>

But if they didn't something else would is my current theory.  Adding one or two more <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(105);'>PF</span> to each unit won't really do a lot in terms of keeping them alive against 10 dudes with bolters.  And kroot with sniper rounds...not sure...that's 10 points.  So far everything that shoots at kroot tend to kill them mostly because I can't get into cover fast enough coming off the board edge. Ride around in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> and try and catch a weak unit...plus the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> has a lot of fire power all on it's own.]]></description>
