This is the core I am looking at and I am unsure where to proceed from here. I have played quite a bit of 40k over the years but not 6th.

HQ

Troops
10 man space marine w/ Rhino[dozer blade], vet sarge and Plasma gun. 820 points (these will stay in no matter what, I love having a lot of infantry) x4 = 820 points.

Scouts
5 with camo and snipers 70

Heavy support

Thunderfire cannon 100

I want to run this as Raven Guard and Scout all the transports forward to move to plasma gun rapid fire range really fast. Either that or move them too all the objectives on the table I can take while still having overlapping fields of fire.

I am not quite sure what to make of the rest of the new book.

1 Stormraven
1 Stormtalon
5 Man Assault squad
7 Damned Legion
2 land raiders (godhammer and crusader)
2 Devastator Squads
1 Command Squad
1 Land Speeder Storm
15 Scouts
5 Thunderhammer Storm Shield Terminators
2 Dreadnoughts


That is about it. No one I know minds if I use the Damned legion models as Sternguard or my assault marines as vanguard vets though.

I am not quite sure how to complement the in your face Rhino rush. the scout move and shrouding that raven guard get seems to make that fairly strong. I am not going for ultra competitive.
