				<description><![CDATA[ So Christmas is around the corner and my in-laws are looking to buy my gaming stuff, alas my Space Marines and Eldar are happy the size and shape they are, and most of the games I'm playing at my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(38);'>FLGS</span> are only 1500 points<br /> <br /> due to this my wife has agreed to my starting another army, I've ruminated over what to go with for a week or two, coming down to 3 possible armies, these were:<br /> <br /> Tau - because hey, who doesn't like to win every game (before the hate comes, its more that they aren't marines, and have a 6th Ed. codex)<br /> <br /> Imperial Guard - I really want a guard army, but with the rumors about new models after Christmas I'm going to hold off on them<br /> <br /> Orks - I've been told I play rather orky (not sure that it was meant as a complement) but I do love the fight, and enjoy winning or loosing, as long as the game was fun, nothing screams fun more to me than Orks...so even with rumors around about newness in the near future, I thought our household might need some Christmas Waaagh!<br /> <br /> so this is my suggested Ork list, reasonably standard I'm sure, but just wanted some C&C on it, I'd like to be able to win games, even do ok in local tournaments, but I'm really not expecting them to be hyper-competitive, but an edge would be good<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> - Warboss, Power Claw, Shoota/Skorcha Combi, Cybork Body, Mega Armour, Bosspole (120)<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> - Big Mek, Kustom Force Field, 'Eavy Armour (90)<br /> <br /> Troops - Big Boss' Nobz - 5 Nobz, Painboy, Cybork Body, 1 Power Klaw, 2 Big Choppa, 2 x Shoota/Skorcha Combi's, Battle Wagon with Deathrolla and Bigshoota (315) - Boss with 'is Nobz Obviously<br /> <br /> Troops - Boyz - 19 Boyz inc Nob with Big Choppa and Bosspole (134) Big Mek goes with these in Battlewagon<br /> <br /> Troops - Boyz - 20 inc Nob with Big Choppa and Bosspole (140) in Battle wagon<br /> <br /> Troops - Gretchin 10 with runtherd (40)<br /> <br /> Elites - 11 Lootas (165)<br /> <br /> Elites - 10 Burnas with a Mek (150) in Battlewagon<br /> <br /> Heavy - Battlewagon with Big Shoota and Deathrolla (115)<br /> <br /> Heavy - Battlewagon with Big Shoota and Deathrolla (115)<br /> <br /> Heavy - Battlewagon with Big Shoota and Deathrolla (115)<br /> <br /> thats 1499<br /> <br /> when playing against my wife (1750 points is her usual) I would add<br /> <br /> 1 more loota, 3 more burna's<br /> <br /> 17 'ard boyz with Nob, Big Choppa and Bosspole (190)<br /> <br /> thats 1749<br /> <br /> tactics would be to roll up the 4 battlewagons as a force towards the enemy, usually with troops inside, lootas stay back in cover and do what they do, gretchin come on from reserve late game to hold a sneeky objective, I think Mek boyz with by shootas, not sure about other boyz...shootas or sluggas?<br /> <br /> as said, if you think I've got this wrong, please yell, if it looks alright to go up as a general all comer that'd be great<br /> <br /> having said all comer, most of the time I'd be playing a flavour or another of Marines, Chaos Marines, Necrons, Guard or Nids, most seem to go for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(637);'>ADL</span>+Quad gun and shoot from far away routine<br /> <br /> thanks for all the supposrt with previous builds, I look forward to comments<br /> <br /> ta, Binks<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Fairly standard Wagon Rush list you have there.<br /> <br /> Only change I'd look at is putting Big Mek with the Burnas. He's not real interested in getting in combat, but continuing to protect the Burnas is a good bet. If extra points available, maybe think about a burna for him too. At least it works as a power weapon if he does get in combat.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I think changing S&P to relentless is only during Ghazghkul's WAAAGH!, not the standard one.<br /> <br /> And you can't ever run before charging.  So... I guess that makes 2+ better?  Unless you meant on turns before  the one you charge on, but you're in a wagon, so that's not really an issue.<br /> <br /> But all that aside, I really approve of your reasons for choosing Orks.  They are all about the mindset: get in there and wreck stuff!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I'm whacking some Belial drak angel terminators and a drop podded dreadnought into my ork list to get loads of hard stuff rigth where I want it to get my ork rush across the board.  The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DAs</span> are just sacrificial !!!!<br /> <br /> Your list looks good by the way.  Unless you are using the gretchin to man a gun some where I tend just to pop in a unit of orks.  They have the extra range, an additional shot to make up for the lower <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> and are just generally tougher.  I also prefer mega-nobz to general ones just to get loads of claws more cheaply.  I don't worry too much about the feel no pain as you have the 2+ save and plasma doesn't autokill them (+ kombi-scorshas!).]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I think not taking mega armor so you can sweep might be a more stylistic choice.  One might well argue that without the armor, you will not live long enough to sweeping advance anyway...  A point to be debated.<br /> <br /> If they are in wagons, shootas.  If they are in trukks or on foot, shootas are probably better, but I'd go sluggas anyway, cuz I didn't play orks to NOT roll 120 dice on the assault!  <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Shoota-wagons are da bomb diggity. Nothing like having 40 shoota shots blasting from the corner of the wagon into the enemy coupled with big shootas from the specialists and the wagon itself.<br /> <br /> On foot, the shoota to slugga mob ratio that I like is 2:1 in shoota-favour. The shootaboys can follow the sluggaboys, shooting. The slugga boys get stuck in, the shoota boys either charges other units, acts as a counter-charge, or watches the sluggamobs' backs. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Thanks for all the comments, <br /> <br /> Having chatted with my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(38);'>FLGS</span> manager, January sees the start if an escalation (supplement) league, and this ork group might be my answer, <br /> <br /> Due to this I've added a bit of stompa to my 1500 points, so below is my suggested 1500 point list for the league, with another 250 to add for home battles etc.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>Hq</span> - Warboss in mega armour with cyborg body and boss pole - running with nobs in stompa<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>Hq</span> - big mek with heavy armour and ku storm forcefield generator - running with burnas in stompa<br /> <br /> Troops - boss' nobz pain boy, cybork body, 1 big choppa, 1 shoota skorcha<br /> <br /> Troops - boyz 10 shootas with nob and boss pole x 2<br /> <br /> Elite - 5 lootas<br /> <br /> Elites - 9 Burnas 2 meks - run in stompa<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(787);'>LoW</span> - Stompa<br /> <br /> That all comes to 1500 on the nose, I know my ork boyz are too small, but they'll be fearless near to the stompa anyway, and from watching barrels of super heavy matches, 10 boys look like they'll last the same amount of time as 30 boys<br /> <br /> With 3 meks in the stompa I hope to keep it healed up enough, although it is half the army, so it's going to be win or loose on the stompa's survival.<br /> <br /> If going up to 1750 for home matches I'd add<br /> <br /> Another 10 boys to each troop group<br /> <br /> Add a power claw to the nobz<br /> <br /> Add 10 Gretchen<br /> <br /> Add 4 more lootas<br /> <br /> That should make me quite a bit more effective outside of the stompa?<br /> <br /> What do people think, I tink the idea of the league to to show off the lords of war, but as £70 for 700+ points it also fills a gap in the bank balance! <br /> <br /> Thanks for all the help, finding dakka to be a continual place of interest and support]]></description>

Assault is where you want to be. I always use Shoota Boyz, just my preference. <br /> It also depends on what you want to do with your squads, I don't use Battlewagon spam currently because of the model cost already with Orks.<br /> As much as I have fought to not use them I find myself getting war bikes, Nobs and mega Nobs a lot. 				<description><![CDATA[ My suggestion is getting Meganobz (3-4) instead of regular nobs to ride in the wagon with the boss (maybe even the big mek so you can have a full 20man shoota squad in the other wagon)<br /> or if not, the big mek can grab a burna and ride with the burnaboyz<br /> I'd also probably split the Lootas in 2 separate squads, so you can split their fire (they tend to work best in groups of 5 or 7 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>imo</span> when not maxed out)<br /> <br /> As for upgrading to a 1750 list, I'd look into some Deffkoptas and more Lootas, just whatever you do dont upgrade boyz to ard boyz <img src="/s/i/a/39ea8e0dbfb45dcc6b802cd0e198dba3.gif" border="0"> waste of points <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>imo</span><br /> <br /> <br /> Other then that it looks like an awesome fun list that can hold its ground well, even win on a good day.<br /> <br /> Keep the Waaagh rolling <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ In response to the stompa list:<br /> <br /> The stompa can hold 3 separate units in it so I would do 2 x10 man units of burna boyz with 3 meks each in addition to a big mek with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span> so with 7 meks you can fix on average of 3.5hp a turn and for bigger games throw in another burna unit into the stompa with 3 more meks for 10 meks fixing 5hps per turn.<br /> <br /> Also dakka jets are sick, you may want to take a weirdboy with the upgrade to re roll your power, just for the reason you can get a waggh more often so the dakka jets shoot more! ]]></description>
