I'm thinking of making metal replacements but I'm not sure how to atatch them to the herald's hands. I don't have a pin vise yet since I haven't really got the chance to assemble any metal models. Transport is the trickier bit. For really fragile models, even a soft foam cradle may end up snagging and/or torquing thin, protruding bits. For those, rare earth magnets in the base and a metal tray for transport seems to work best.
