Right tools for air brushing?

Hey everyone just asking for some experienced folk to give some advice. Looking to get into airbrushing but need the right tools first. Locally found a decent deal on a badger patriot 105 airbrush and badger 83n compressor. But I'm a newb when it comes to air brushing. So if anyone had some words of wisdom on these two products it would be greatly appreciated.

Right tools for air brushing?

those are excellent.

I have the 105 and its a great brush.

But one thing, please.

Do a search. This question is LITERALLY asked several times a week.
In fact, if you just scroll down a bit, you will find several threads on buying and airbrush and compressor.

There is a huge amount of wisdom available on this topic already here where experienced people have taken the time to write about their experiences and thoughts....you owe it to yourself to spend a little bit to read them...

(or just buy those two things, they are great).

Right tools for air brushing?

Chime, first off welcome to Dakka.

Please forgive us as people really do ask this a few times a week, its feels like almost everyday honestly.

And that is a GOOD Thing. They more people that are getting into airbrushing the better its going to be for the community (that and less and less grey armies will be on the table).

As for the Badger 105, it's by far my favorite airbrush, I have both the regular needle that comes with it and the fine conversion for detailed work. The thing is just amazing.

You will need other stuff to go along with your airbrush.

1. Airbrush Cleaner
2. Paint Thinner
3. Cleaner, and stuff like q-tips, pipe cleaners, paper towels.
4. Airbrush Cleaning Stations (looks like a glass bowl and is a must, its like $20 and is also an airbrush stand)

Things I find that are helpful.
1. Plastic medicine cups - amazon has them at $4 for 100.
2. Nitryl Gloves - for holding models when you spray
3. Spray Booth ($80)
4. Gator Clips (for spraying small parts)

Good Luck and post some pictures of your work.
