It is super dry in NM, but it is winter. Does the cold have this effect or was a fool to think i could prime with Krylon. If the spray pattern and pressure appeared fine but the results were chalky, then simply try spraying closer to the target, as Redfinger suggests.

In either case, it's hard to imagine that many people being completely off base about a product's quality. I've used it to good effect, personally, and am quite confident that you'll be satisfied with the results, once you sort out your current issue.
