I do know that you can get pin vices/drills for much cheaper.

The drill is a good tool in itself. It also makes your drill bits go in straighter because your hand can go back and forth while trying to get the bit in using the GW one..

I also use Dremel step down/up bits. They come in a 5 pack and go from 3/32 - 1/8. They cost around $7-8 US and available at DIY and some craft stores.

You could also call some mom and pop hobby stores. Sometimes they will have bits.
