Eldar Corsair Rules Help

(this is really a YMDC question, not proposed rules)

I can tell you Corsairs - jump pack or otherwise - do not have Battle Focus.

If you give them LasBlasters, they don't have Bladestorm (the pseudo-rending ability). I think if you give them Shuriken Catapults they do, because they have been updated (with the updated codex), but that might not be the case.

As for deepstriking the Wraith Guard, I think the rules allow it, although it's certainly cheeky (both because you're deepstriking a unit not meant for it, and because Wraiths would *never* be outcasts).

Re:Eldar Corsair Rules Help

Hmmmm, so heres a question. If I take Kabalite Warriors, I can take a raider. So if I did that and since its not an "Allied Transport", would I be able to start with my OTHER units in it such as Eldar units?

Eldar Corsair Rules Help

If you go hardline, the Corsair Catapults do not get pseudo-rend and the lasblasters do not get +1 shots. I think those weapons are written out in IA11, meaning you get the gak stats from the codex and not the good stuff from the new Eldar codex. Also, FW are really slow in updating their rules.

I suggest using house rules for Corsair since they are lack lustre and dated.

Regarding the Raiders: you can get into it with your IA11 warriors, but you can't start inside it since it's a dedicated transport. Also, your Codex: Eldar units can't get into it unless those are chosen as Elite from IA11.

Hmmm, but if i take dark kabalite warriors for elites, couldnt they start in it? If im correct they use the DE stats from the codex, and that allows them to take raiders as DT??

Re:Eldar Corsair Rules Help

RAW I believe the lasblasters act as lasblasters did in 5th ed, because their stats are written in IA11. Oddly enough(and lucky for you)they didnt write the stats for shuriken weaponry, just referring to the eldar codex, so they would have bladestorm.
I suppose wraithguards are an elite choice, therefore yes, you could use them in your FOC, and deepstrike them.
I dont have a rulebook at hand, but Im pretty sure you cant start the game, with say, wraithguards in a raider, as the raider is the kabalites dedicated transport.

Eldar Corsair Rules Help

The Wasp would definitely get Bladestorm at least...

When the BRB came out, it's profiles overrode older profiles. I had made the (apparently mistaken) assumption that whenever a newer publication updated the rules for something, like the BRB's stats at the back of the book, it overrode the previous rules for that wargear/item.

As for dedicated transports, that is correct, no unit other than the one it was purchased with may start in the dedicated transport.
