				<title>Which pattern for 2nd land raider?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ As the title says, I'm looking to add a second land raider to my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(412);'>DW</span> list. I already have a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(261);'>LRC</span> that transports my DWK squad around and I'm not sure what to add for my next raider. Right now I'm leaning towards the phobos for the couple extra long range shots. I know it isn't "efficient", but I play <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(412);'>DW</span> so efficiency isn't my main concern. So what would my fellow dakka members recommend for a second raider? Thanks in advance.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I always advocate the Redeemer pattern. 12 Capacity means you have room for 5 Terminators and an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(67);'>IC</span> in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(332);'>TDA</span>. Though if you're running Knights and sticking them in a Land Raider, I would suggest adding an Interrogator Chaplain in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(332);'>TDA</span> with the Mace of Redemption. 6 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> models is really all you need if they're gonna sit in a box the first turn or two. As for weapons loadout, two Hellstorm Flamers and a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span>-Assault Cannon makes for a lot of short ranged annihilation. If you need long range fire support I suggest investing in Devastators with Lascannons or the Firestorm Redoubt Fortification as detailed in the new Stronghold Assault book.]]></description>

The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(261);'>LRC</span> and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(475);'>LRR</span> are glorified taxies, the classic <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> is actually a tank.  Sure, you pay a lot of points for options you might be underutilizing, but do it anyway.  Where else are you going to get long range <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(482);'>AT</span> fire in a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(412);'>DW</span> army?<br /> <br /> It's classic, looks cool, and kills things across the table.  Do it!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I agree with Ren on the Redeemer.  It and the Crusader actually know what they're doing on the battlefield.  Though honestly I prefer the Redeemer's weapons over the crusaders, I know some people are iffy about using those flame sponsons.  Get it a multi-melta and you're good to go.  Great all-around tank that is great against <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>MEQ</span> with the flamestorms, and also great against tanks of any form with the assault cannon and multi-melta.  Something to think about; a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span>-assault cannon is nearly as likely to pen AV14 as a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span>-Lascannon, it might actually be more!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ While I agree that a pred would offer a more efficient platform, but I'm playing fluffy <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(412);'>DW</span> so if it's not a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> them I won't field it in this particular army.<br /> <br /> I want to like the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(475);'>LRR</span> but I just can't seem to wrap my head around the flame storm cannons. They dominate just about anything they touch but I'm not sure. I've never used them so I have no personal experience, but they could synergize better with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(261);'>LRC</span>. Still leaning towards the phobos but maybe more research is needed.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Since you are looking to get into assault anyway, the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(475);'>LRR</span> will provide more a threat to go alongside your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(261);'>LRC</span>+DWK. Unless it is carrying something nasty, a standard Land Raider is not that worrisome.]]></description>

They both want to operate differently, instead of together. <br /> <br /> Either 2x standard land raiders, or 2 of the assault pattern landraiders <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>imo</span> (<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(475);'>LRR</span>/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(261);'>LRC</span> mixes, user preference).<br /> <br /> I have used an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(261);'>LRC</span> all 5th, but I'm liking it less in 6th and am considering swapping it out for an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(475);'>LRR</span>.]]></description>

If anything Magnetizing the weapons would allow you to switch on the fly if say you wanted to Deepstrike the Termies instead and bring two standard <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LRs</span> or go with the assault patterns.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ The land raider will be a transport for a DWT squad, although a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(57);'>HS</span> choice and not dedicated transport. It's a squad with a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(417);'>CML</span> so I can have the tactical advantage of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(628);'>DWA</span> if needed, walking up shooting if needed and the range of the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(417);'>CML</span> helps if the raider gets taken out/immobilized early. <br /> <br /> I do feel that the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(475);'>LRR</span> synergizes better with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(261);'>LRC</span> but the standard <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> does help provide that little bit of long range, high power shooting that <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(412);'>DW</span> lacks.]]></description>

Best troop transport capacity, best synergy with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span> bolter banner and more effective at mid range and versus flying targets than a redeemer. Also can snap fire it's side sponsons without using machine spirit.<br /> <br /> I find the range of the flamers on the redeemer to be counter intuitive to using it as an assault vehicle. When you are in range of the flamers then you are also in assault range for the unit inside. If they had torrent then it would be another matter. ]]></description>
