				<title>Dark Angels 2.5k version 2.0</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ So after trying out my Terminator Ravenwing combo I discovered that Terms get eaten alive by a lot of things. I attempted to modify the list slightly but still for the cost straight shooty Terms are just not good enough en masse. Here is my modified list that I will be trying out shortly. Tourney isJan 18th, my first ever. <br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span><br /> Azrael<br /> Libby with PFG and Prescience to go with Devastator squad<br /> Command Squad with Apothecary and Devestator Banner<br /> <br /> Troops<br /> 2 X 10 man Tact squad with Plasma gun and Lascannon in Rhino<br /> 2 X 5 Man Deathwing Term Squad with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(224);'>TH</span> and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span><br /> 2 RAS with 6 bikes each 2 plasma guns, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(447);'>AB</span> with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(456);'>LS</span> typhoon with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span><br /> <br /> Elites <br /> Venerable Dreadnaught with Lascannon<br /> 5 x Deathwing Knights <br /> <br /> Heavy Support<br /> 7 man Devstator Squad with 4 x Lascannon<br /> Whirlwind<br />  Comes in right at 2.5k. Please feel free to point out any shortcomings. Rhinos and Command squad will push up center against shooty armies that I need to close on hopefully getting close enough to Salvo 4 on the turn they get popped. Bikes up the wings or wherever I need to have my Terms land and add plasma shots into the mix. Azrael will ikely footslog behind the Rhinos to add 4+ involn to Command Sqaadand get full <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>FNP</span> will feed off banner if need be. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(456);'>LS</span> are glass cannons so will try to get their points back on something important before they go poof. 				<description><![CDATA[ well, where to begin... Your list is a jack of all trades, master of nothing. I see what you're trying to do here, but I don't think at that points level it will cut it. There's stuff out there that will wreck your face.<br /> <br /> Obvious flaws first:<br /> <br /> First, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>Tac</span>'s are useless. And with Azi, everything else is scoring and therefore better. Get rid of those.<br /> <br /> Next, your Dreadnought will instantly draw all the Anti tank fire and immediately explode. Get rid of it or get him buddys (tanks etc.)<br /> <br /> Your Deathwing knights are on foot. No. No no no. Get am a Land Raider from which they can assault. Otherwise they are, again, dead before they can assault. As will your Termies.<br /> <br /> Are you really combining a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span> with a TML on the Speeders? O_o<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(744);'>RW</span> Bikers with Plasmas are horrible. At that point cost, you can get a Black Knight. NEVER use them with Plasma, it's a waste of points.<br /> <br /> All in all this list would need a complete revamp to be good... Depends on what you want to do with it. Semiserious lists will tear it apart, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>imo</span>. A tourney? No way.<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ So drop Tacts which means drop Command squad, make 8 man squad of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(224);'>TH</span> terms in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(261);'>LRC</span> and put Knights in one too. But Black Knight bikers for Talon, drop typhoon from <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(456);'>LS</span> or Melta, not sure which like melta, or just drop <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(456);'>LS</span> altogether. Not sure what else as you didn't lkeave much. <br /> <br /> As for why list is this way I have been playtesting against Tau and 4 Riptides and Farsight with bodyguards have been owning me. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(456);'>LS</span> with missiles pops guards with insta death if thry fail inviln, then melta gets through iridium, so like keep melta as it works on Riptides down as well. This would be three bike squads. Would I be better off running more shooty Terms that use bike teleport homers? Fairly new to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span> so open to ideas. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Sorry mate, but <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span> aren't really competitive in a tournament. Tau are right up there in Tier 1, whereas <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span> are.. Tier 3?<br /> At least this is what I skimmed from reading, not playing tourneys.  But against a Tau that uses Riptides, which are <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(298);'>afaik</span> pretty high on the power scale it's gonna be an uphill battle.<br /> <br /> If I remember right, there was a topic here that dealt with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span> and Riptides not too many days ago. The answer was, if I remember right, Black Knights. Which are kinda the best units we have in the dex. Pure <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(744);'>RW</span> is currently the most competitive army one could field.<br /> <br /> The issue with termies in general is that.. well.. they suck. They are freaking expensive and Storm Bolters don't really cut too much. Enter AP2 and you're fethed. <br /> You'd need someone with Tau knowledge to help you out here, but if you go tourneying, get used to the idea of scrapping termies, azrael and pretty much every green and go <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(744);'>RW</span>. 				<description><![CDATA[ That was one of my posts. Oh well, I won't be able to get enough of the Black Knights before the tourney so will just have to try some more playtesting and hope I don't play the Tau guy, who I am traveling with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(84);'>lol</span>.<br />   All of what you said was pretty much what I had read on here but was hopeful I could get something useful together without just power gaming. Guess not. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> are crazy as you have to spend 30 points to get that upgrade, which is foolish. Thanks though.]]></description>

I could make suggestions all day long, but they're pointless if you can't implement them!<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DA</span> can be ok, even good. To compete and beat the 'tier 1' armies you need to play exceptionally cleverly!<br /> <br /> With what you have - azrael is arguably bad for his points cost - put him in a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squad so they all gain 4+ invulnerable. Keep the command squad ne'er both <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squads - you're going to want that salvo 4! Try not to move them, build a wall of bolter fire and hope that near 80 bolter shots shred incoming infantry.<br /> <br /> Termies on fit. make sure you <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(412);'>DW</span> assault them. I'd go for turn 2 probably, use the to draw firepower and strengthen lines. Be prepared to get upset though. Even with storm shields they will have to withstand a full turn of shooting before they can assault! But 15 arriving at once might just work!<br /> <br /> RAS - the best combo is 6 bikers with 2 melta guns, attack bike with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span> and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(456);'>LS</span> with TML. DON'T put a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span> on the speeder, you want to utilise that range at keep it far away, it can be used as a last minute objective grabber!<br /> <br /> Can you get any black knights? Definitely the BEST unit in the dex. The dread is terrible, all dreads are. 5 knights are awesome. 4+ cover just for moving, and plasma talons! Plus they can scout move, you can make elite units cry turn one, by a scout movement then a normal movement, then 10 twin linked plasma shots! They also have teleport homers for the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(412);'>DW</span> assault!<br /> <br /> I'm not saying re-arrange your whole army. Mostly because you've said you can't. But a couple of unit changes and some options changes and you'll significantly improve it's effectiveness. I'm not saying it'll be uber competitive. Just better. Build your gun line -tacs, az, whirlwind & <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(456);'>LS</span>. Then use bikes, black knights, and termies to go for the jugular!]]></description>
