Scale Issues...

Hello all

So recently I went out and bought a CSM rhino, and this is the first ever rhino I've ever bought and built (kinda shocking seeing as I've been in the hobby 3 years)

Anyway I remember asking a GW store owner once if the models were in scale and he laughed and shook his head, but at the time I thought it couldn't be that bad...

Anyway I bought my rhino, built it, and as I was building it I realized that this thing has no hope in hell of holding 10 power armour dudes, even if you crammed a few into the cockpit it would hold 4 at best.

SO my question is, are all armies DT's like this? From what I can see DE raiders can fit 10 warriors on them (although they hang off the sides most of the time), and Ork Trukks could probably do the same?

I figured tho the reason they aren't to scale is probably to cut down cost, as a full scale rhino would cost about as much as a current LR.
