				<title>1st Attempt at New Nids - 1850</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I am not going to reiterate what everyone else has said about the codex already, this is just my view on things.<br /> <br /> There are a lot of bad points in the new codex but there are also a few good points as well which I can see.<br /> <br /> The list below I think takes into account the spirit of the codex, I know for the most part it appears to suck a bit however based on what I can see it has actually improved a little.<br /> <br /> <b>Reasons / Discussion Points</b><br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> only Foot Tyrant - Well the Miasma Cannon is pretty decent really and rather cheap, I am hoping I can get Warp Blast on a Psychic roll to help further.<br /> Prime - He is sat with the Venomthropes to hopefully be some ablative wounds and some extra synapse.<br /> Venomthropes - Mobile Shrouded?<br /> 3x Zoans - Mobile Synapse which can actually take some hits for the most part. The Lance shot is pretty decent as well.<br /> Shockcannons - Based on the fact the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> has been dropped the Impaler Cannons are going to be even worse than before. Shockcannons are template based so are at least more likely to hit (something) as they are haywire they actually hit twice, once at S5 and the other a Haywire Effect (vehicles only). Against some low <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(9);'>AV</span> vehicles these could be deadly.<br /> Biovores - Who doesnt like AP4 Barrage Assault Large Blasts that dont specifically need line of sight.<br /> Termagaunts - Split 10/10 on the basis why not have 10 ablative wounds before the guys you care about.<br /> Gargoyles - Mostly just a distraction but they can at least try and tie something up in combat.<br /> Exocrine and Tfex - Not much to say, keep Acid Spray and shove him up front, 2+ save and Shrouded from the Venomthropes should keep him alive long enough.<br /> <br /> The whole point of this list is to have a fair amount of shooting backed up by creatures that can actually kill things in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>. I think this goes with the spirit of the Nids in that there are lots of small units, 3 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MC</span>'s, a few units that can kill vehicles and some decent <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> and ignores cover shots.<br /> <br /> Nids are meant to be mid range and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> focused this list is the best I can come up with based on the new codex. Normally I take a list I think would be fun, this list is the only thing I think will work which is totally different.<br /> <br /> I was going to take a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> Tervigon but considering the amount of gaunts, that would be literally suicide.<br /> <br /> Only 3 Synapse Creatures, a bit low really but what can you do (could drop a term squad to warriors with a venom cannon if I need more)...<br /> <br /> I am actually annoyed that Devourers dont have pinning anymore, it would have been very useful with this list.<br /> <br /> <br /> Anyone have any comments on this list? 				<description><![CDATA[ The Miasma Cannon replaces a pair of Scything Talons.<br /> <br /> A little bit light on synapse ar'nt you? part of me thinks drop 20 termagants for some warriors with a venom cannon, that way you can put the prime with them so they get his <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>bs</span> and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>ws</span>.<br /> <br /> Apart from that its a pretty solid list.<br /> <br /> (I havent had time to fully read the new codex yet not to play a game so iam not 100% sure on anything XD)]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ So starting from the Top:<br /> <br /> Hive Tyrant needs wings or Guard taking neither is bizarre. The Miasma cannon is OK but only OK and not that cheap (is nearly the cost of 2 sets of Devourers) a small blast poison isn't a threat to anything you need to really start hurting from turn. Devourers are still the best weapon in the codex Bs4 on the Tyrant has only heightened this putting nearly 11 S6 hits on an unit a turn.<br /> <br /> Prime sat with Venomthropes may give them a wound soak but may paint that target over their head even bigger...<br /> <br /> Zoans are good now.<br /> <br /> You need to reread the Haywire rules. Yes the Impaler Cannon got worse but its still the best option for them. You're giving up 2 S8 shots for 1 haywire blast you're also giving up 6" of range (probably an entire turn of firing) and the ability to fire with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LoS</span> and you're giving up ignores cover yet you're paying 5 points for all those downsides? No thanks.<br /> <br /> Biovores are good, Exocrine is excellent, Tyrannofex is possibly the worst <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(57);'>HS</span> choice but can be good particularly if spammed.<br /> <br /> You've spend loads and loads of points on troops and I really don't like the Venom Cannon on the Warriors. Take Deathspitters or don't bother with anything. They look like a free <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(316);'>KP</span> at the moment though.<br /> <br /> You've very little <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> threat and just 3 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MCs</span> means I can't see any of them ever making combat. To be honest the only thing I can see doing much actual damage will be the devourers and Biovores. Which against most top tier armies won't be much. I just don't see how anything else in your Arny gets into position to do damage.<br /> <br /> Also I don't see why <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> is a bad match up. Poison is a downside against Nid swarm given you've basically no <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MCs</span>.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I think the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(132);'>Tyr</span> can eaisly be replaced with the Mawloc for a much better amount of fire power, Ever if he mishaps you still get the large blast <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>ap</span> 2 template, which can eat a whole unit.<br /> <br /> If your going to play competetive your going to need 3 crones. I Was not to hawt on them then i realized they had 5 and not 4 wounds Which is a big deal against quad guns, and im not willing to give out hints in general but if you message me wanting to know ill tell you a few sick tricks ive already though of.<br /> <br /> The last thing i have to say is there is sooooo much in the game with Ignore cover <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(258);'>atm</span>, i dont see the point of venom thropes. Nidz <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> overall is terrible and your not getting the rapid fire shots most other competitive Dex's will. And to add on to this the range of their rapid fire is about what the range of most of your single shots is going to be. <br /> <br /> So at that point not only do most other armies have a better <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span>, more shots, but also much lower <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span> on almost everything they are shooting.<br /> <br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: 9px; line-height: normal;">Automatically Appended Next Post:</span><br /> Last thing, Zoey were amazing last edition with the ability to tailor them with biomancy toward what your oppent was using. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(258);'>Atm</span> they are such cheap synpase i dont see how you use anything else <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(325);'>TBH</span>]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Zoans dropped 10 points, now only need 1 psychic test and 1 DTW and gained a secondary power so they can buff stuff before they get into range and get some more utility. Plus Synapse is more important now and with the nerf to Tervigons has become less readily available in the list. This all makes Zoanthropes massively more useful in this Codex.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ The 4+ save is the issue with Harpies/ Crones Broadsides, AAtides, quad guns, Stalkers, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(5);'>AC</span> Havocs, shadowstrike missiles are all AP4. If they had a 3+ they would certainly be part of every tourney list.]]></description>
