Are CSM squads lead by a sorcerer?

I want to make a Thousand Sons army, and i want to get the upgrade kit for it, only if squads are lead by sorcerers. Because if that's the case i can buy the upgrade and get a sorcerer for around the same price of just the sorcerer.
