Crimson Fist 6th Company, 2k Bike list : Need advice

So I've come into possession of a number of Space Marine Bike models (40+) Painted up in Crimson Fist Colors and wanted to try tailoring a list to their use to give them the old college try.

I'm going to re-paint their trim for the 6th Company, and figured I'd use the White Scars Chapter Tactics a result as it will benefit these units the most.

It will also not be using Dev's, Sternguard, or Pedro, so no real reason to stay with the IF chapter tactics.

I normally would just paint the models as white scars to start a second army, but as stated they're already painted up nicely so don't want to change them.

Here is the list

HQ (440 pts)

Space Marine Captain on Bike
Thunder Hammer, Artificer Armor, Shield Eternal
Warlord

Command Squad on Bikes
Apothecary
2x Storm Shields, 4x Plasmaguns

Troops (710pts)

(1) 5 Man Bike Squad w/ Attack Bike
MM on Attack Bike, 2x Meltaguns, Vet Sgt w/ Combi-melta

(2) 5 Man Bike Squad
2x Gravguns, Vet Sgt w/ Combi-Grav

(3) 5 Man Bike Squad
2x Gravguns, Vet Sgt w/ Combi-Grav

(4) 5 Man Scout Squad w/ Camo Cloaks
5x Shotguns, Sgt w/ Melta Bombs
Land Speeder Storm w/ HF

(5) 5 Man Scout Squad w/ Camo Cloaks
5x Sniper Rifles, Vet Sgt w/ Melta Bombs

Fast ( 290pts)

(1) Land Speeder Typhoon

(2) 2x Land Speeder Typhoons

(3) Lucius Pattern Drop Pod

Heavy ( 460pts)

(1) Predator Annihilator
Twin Linked Lascannon Turret, Las Cannon Sponsons

(2) Predator Annihilator
Twin Linked Lascannon Turret, Las Cannon Sponsons

(3) Contemptor Mortis Dreadnought
2x Kheres Assault Cannons

Fortifications (100pts)

ADL w/ Quadgun

The Captain will go with either the Melta Bikes, the Command Squad, or can solo

The Bike and Command squads turbo boost and pick targets that suit their weaponry, command squad should be able to absorb some hits, especially if Captain is pressent

The shotgun scouts hold out of LOS for late game objective rush / response force in their speeder

The sniper scouts go in the ADL and Sgt mans the Quadgun

The Contemptor Deep Strikes on Round one where needed and sits in his pod to use it as ablative wounds

The Land Speeders Jink around shooting targets of opportunity

I think it will be a fun list, plenty of dakka and plenty of scoring units. I think all the bases are covered, and better yet all the models are ready to hit the table

What do you guys think? Any feedback is welcome!

I'm here buddy! Hahaha Firstly I would drop the command squad. Take another captain and give him something to strike hard and fast like power weapon etc. move the attack bike out of the melta squad if you're gonna put your thunder hammer captain with it. I'd also drop the sniper scouts and try and take another space marine bike squad, maybe some flamers? And put that squad with your 2nd captain. Then give the 2 grav gun squads attack bikes, whatever your preference (I'd say multimeltas but then I'm a salamander haha) thing I'm concerned about is the dreadnought. Going to have trouble keeping up with the pace of the army and those assult cannons have limited range. Space marines can do things and do them better than most armies if they focus around striking hard and fast. I'd drop the defences and turret too and take a predator destructor.

I play a drop pod Sally's list with 3 ironclad dreads in pods but then the rest of my army is in pods too so I usually don't see my side of the table (annoys some people) as long as your down in that side and they aren't isolated. What I mean was the rest of my army is foot mounted so same movement distance. You've got great move-strike potential with the bikes so almost use your dread as bait rather than support.

You've got great move-strike potential with the bikes so almost use your dread as bait rather than support.

Not a bad idea.

I usually drop the dread down with my sterns in my normal list (2x sterns, Pedro, and a few assault or tactical meat shields on turn 1) so going solo will be new

I figure if I drop him on a flank he should give me a great fire sink, especially with the lucius pod

That way I can use him as a huge threat, and have him attempt to roll up that flank with bike support

After that he can either walk his way up the enemy flank firing away, or get in a good position for AA support and stay stationary

We'll see if it works

ninjafiredragon wrote:
You have a ton of points invested in veteran sergeants, you could consider dropping them and getting an attack bike.

That is true. I'm just used to always having Ld 9 on marines

On the sniper scouts I figured it would be good as the ADL tends to take alot of fire and I don't want them pinned

On the bikes it was taken as a precaution, but could be dropped

Anyone have any idea on where the Vet Sgt is worth it and where its not?
