I've put together two potential lists, but am not sure which way to go...

Both are 750 on the dot. In either case I plan to combat squad out the heavy plasma from the one tac squad to keep greater mobility. The Ven. Dread I like for the BS/WS 5, so I can more likely smack things with it. The Scouts w/ Aegis are for backfield scoring and long range covering fire. The RW are DV models, and the tourney is WYSIWG, but I'm still not sure about their need for plasma....however, I did melt some faces the last few times I fielded them. You want a librarian so I gave you one and a command squad with all bolters and the Standard of devastation.

The Venerable dread armed with ML and assault cannon

18 Tactical marines, or you could swap that out for 18 scouts with camo cloaks, split how you want, all of them armed with bolters.

Take an ADL with quadgun for cover if you think you are going against something that will remove your save, plus the quadgun and dread will act as your heavy support.

You have 13 points left with both set ups to tweak as you wish.


But I would take your second army as the scouts can be quite surprising on a mostly infantry board. Attach the Librarian to the full tac squad and with Prescience the banner becomes very effective.
