				<title>1000 points of Tyranids for Double Tournament</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hey mates. Coming up later in February, I will be attending a Doubles Tournament, where I am to bring 1000 points of my Tyranids to team up with another players 1000 points to make it a 2000 point game. The catch is, my partner will be randomly selected before the tournament begins to make things a bit interesting. Needless to say, I am going with a simple list, as I don't have many models at the moment so I will be using what I have. 				<description><![CDATA[ I'm trying to work a 1k point list as well. ( adept) My only issue is the spread between your troops and your synapse... You almost have to air the flyrant out to keep up with the horms.. because you need the warriors to say with the exo and the terms... I tend to only air out the flyrant when I know I can get good cover saves or get to some <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(85);'>LOS</span> blocking terrain.. other wise I tend to use them more on flanks or in much more precise attacks. <br /> <br /> What army are running dbls with?  Any <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(187);'>FoC</span> limits or anything like that on your list?]]></description>

It's supposed to be random so that it can be a surprise to mix things up, however Tau and Eldar cannot be paired together as the guy running it says that would be too powerful.<br /> <br /> As for my list, I can easily drop the Termaguants for another unit of 30x Toxic Hormaguants, making it easier for the Warriors to use there synapse. 				<description><![CDATA[ Honestly, a Venomthrope and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MCs</span> will bring you further then lots of Troops.  You won't kill anything with all those Troops so you will have to hope that your opponant brings the pain.  <br /> <br /> Think about something like this:<br /> * Flyrant: <br /> -w/2x Twin-Linked Devours <br /> <br /> * Flyrant: <br /> -w/2x Twin-Linked Devours <br /> <br /> *Venomthrope<br /> <br /> *(3x) Warriors: <br /> -w/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> <br /> <br /> *Termagaunts<br /> -w/SRs<br /> <br /> *Hive Crone<br /> -w/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span> - 10<br /> <br /> *(3x)Biovore Brood<br /> <br /> This leaves you 10 points left over.  The exact amount you need to swap Termas for Hormas.  You have a unit in every slot so you can score in Big Guns Never Tire & the Fast Attack version of it too.    That could be a key advantage.  You also still have back row Synapse and its gun is just as long as your Biovore’s so it can fire at the same target.  And now you have two units that can cause pinning.  This will be key against Tau, Eldar, and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span>.<br /> <br /> You should be able to keep the Biovores, Warriors, and Gaunts in the Venom’s range so they will bulk up in survivability.<br /> <br /> The Crone will act as your long range anti-tank and close range anti-infantry.  Keep him flying but watch out for his T5.<br /> <br /> With two <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(154);'>HTs</span> you should roll <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>FNP</span> on one of them.  If you get both then all the better.  Keep them FNPed as much as you can.  Along with the Crone.  If you roll – <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> & <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span> then use it to nerf deadly units.  Remember, you can reduce <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>WS</span> to 0 to shut down shooting and attacks in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>.  The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(13);'>BRB</span> gives you the OK to reduce them to 0 seeing as how it's a stat that can normally come as a 0, unlike I, S, W, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>Ld</span>, & T.<br /> <br /> Keep your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(154);'>HTs</span> flying but don't be afraid to get into a charge.  Always challange if you can.  It should turn into a free win in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>.<br /> <br /> If you fight Tau, Smash attack his Riptides.  You will <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>ID</span> them.]]></description>
