There are many companies that make great washes and they are decently inexpensive.

A few that I own and are really good.

Vallejo (my favorite acrylic wash)
Reaper
Secret Weapons Miniatures

I also use oil washes but those require oil paint, mineral spirits. and a varnish between the wash and the paint. (these are by far the best I've used results wise.
