I've decided to make my Space Marine list based around this list for various reasons. I've translated this list roughly to 6th edition Space Marines. Any input is appreciated!

Well, that's that. I don't feel as if this list is particularly game-y, like I said if you feel like the Librarian should be replaced with Chapter Master, and the Vindicators need to be replaced by Bikers or something, don't feel afraid to leave a comment!

Also the plasma pistol on the libby is a risky choice, he already suffers from perils of the warp.

I like the vindicators they are always solid.

I play with land speeds a lot, you want to specialize them, think of it this way if your shooting a melta at something like a tank, the flamer doesnt help, if your shooting at horde then the multi melta is kinda not helpful. Either make them all multi-melta or all flamer, I would suggest flamers since you have alot of high str single target weapons already.
Also the heavy bolter Cyclone Missle luancher land speeders always tend to preform well when I bring them.

Against most armies I've played it simply scares people. Run the vindicators straight up mad hammer a flank into submission, keeping frontal armour at the nasty stuff and shielding the troops who always combat squad. Anything drops behind me, the sternguard ruin it. I favour meltas as they get the job done, no quibble. I never seem to be able to glance stuff so I go for the explosion instead. The storm talon is also invaluable as it puts out so much dakka. If I played at 1750 I'd run three sky hammer talons to bring the pain.

My only problem with dreads is av 12 is knocked out too easily. Having said that, I do love dreadnoughts, at least in fluff. Maybe sacrificial ironclads dropping in. Keep the pods semi closed to prevent rear armour pen and just go burning to buy your boys time to cross the field?
