reasons for choosing units:

buffmander, the internet loves/hates him, I love him- no brainer.

Riptide- again, the big guy you love to hate- no brainer heavy hitter, durable. backfield camper- securing home tree.

Skyfire Riptide- absolutely adore this unit. lights up the sky like a thousand suns- also deals with medium AV tanks pretty good too. midfield intercepting and drawing fire.

Pulse carbine Fire warriors in a fish- adventures, these guys go exploring for relics, objectives or denial if needs be. 20 pinning rounds of S5 is my favourite combo.

Railhead- Rail yeah? ZZzzap your land raider- back field sitter.

Broadsides - now a trend is appearing where a lot of things are sitting out back and broadsides would fit the bill for campers however they sit almost midfield with the sky fire tide. absorbing in the fire+ packing a fierce punch at the same time.

Tetras - 4 T/L marker lights on moving platforms. better than 8 pathfinders at 88 pts, scout unit.

Jetbikes - last minute steals of the game- VERY good unit, the internet knows this.

Farseer, to support tau fire, provide re rolls/ignore cover/ invulns - whatever I'm fortunate enough to get.

Absolutely love this flyer- never used one but have ordered one and am really excited to have it- its beautiful. rules are super fun as well despite being a little squishy!

I intend to play a game with this list this weekend for funs, how do you think it'll do against a marine army? ( I garuntee centurions, tigirius bomb!)

I know its not the heaviest of hitters as far as lists go but it's got all my favourite units in there- if i could take dark strider i totally would ( shame he's a poo bag made of crap)

eyes are now sleepy... let me know your opinions on my list!

Pulse carbines are...ok I suppose. Consider getting a full unit to do this...best when you can ethereal bomb the storm of fire.

Your fire warriors on foot are not very supported, and easy picking. Kroot would be better for utility and cost, and similar surviviablity.

Not a fan of the shielded missile drones on the tide, just cause your vulnerable to morale checks if one dies. Saves the need for the target lock as well. You could buy an ethereal for your fish squad.

Tetras are fantastic, no problems there.

A hammerhead with a railgun basically needs longstrike, but if your really hard up on points, I suggest just going with an ionhead.

The broadsides need some better leadership. Either an Ld10 character like your 'o or the seer, or at least a 'Vre. Ld8 is just too risky when your drones are getting popped/pinning. Broadsides camp back, so you risk failing a check and running off the board. Maybe also bond, as you could be down to 2 broadsides and on heroic ld to rally. Even wounded and late game, 2 broadsides are worth saving.One more note, if you ever have spare points, an advanced targeting system is something worth throwing in to make it an even 1750.
