				<title>2000 point Chaos Daemon Hound List</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ After attempting to play mono-Khorne, it is really isn't that competitive (although a lot of fun). So I thought I'd mix a bit of tzeentch and slaanesh in there to form a 'flying-circus / hound' variant.<br /> <br /> It's meant to be a bit more competitive (I realize the lack of troops isn't ideal!), yet fun to play.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>: 780<br /> Be'lakor<br /> Fateweaver<br /> Herald of Khorne [Juggernaught, Locus of Fury, Axe of Khorne]<br /> <br /> Elites: 138<br /> 6 x Flamers of tzeentch<br /> <br /> Troops: 290<br /> 2 x 15 daemonettes + Alluress w/lesser reward<br /> <br /> Fast Attack:480<br /> 2 x 15 flesh hounds<br /> <br /> Heavy Support: 310<br /> Daemon prince of Tzeentch [Flight, Warpforged, Grimoire, Staff of change, Psyker <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(347);'>lvl</span> 2] <br /> <br /> So, there we go - it's meant to be in your face turn 2.<br /> <br /> Buffs from Fateweaver / Daemon prince means the hounds will be hitting hard.<br /> Be'lakor will be used for invisibility on one unit of hounds<br /> Fateweaver used to get more consistency on Grimoire on another unit of hounds + herald<br /> The herald of khorne will join the hounds for some AP2 punch and of course, benefit from scout.<br /> Flamers will be deepstriking nearer fragile units and hopefully 6 will be enough to wipe the units before I hand them <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(265);'>FNP</span>!<br /> <br /> I have also been considering a single unit of 20 hounds and subbing the other out for more daemonettes or herald of slaanesh.<br /> <br /> Any comments are welcome!<br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Hounds are very points efficient, personally I'd drop the flamers and get more hound, they will be both good against the same kinds of targets after all.<br /> <br /> You may wish to use Be'lakor as an ally, with some cultists. As it stands, his LD10 means he must be the warlord, but fateweaver has a much better warlord trait. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Couldn't agree more actually - I had an alternate list with a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> detachment (Be'lakor + 10 cultists). Gives me a troop choice to camp on an objective and I get Fateweaver's trait!<br /> <br /> I can see what you mean about the flamers. For some reason I love dropping them in halfway through the game and burning off a small horde without much effort! Plus it takes the heat off my more valuable units for a turn or two!<br /> <br /> Thanks for the feedback.]]></description>

He can't have an axe of korne being a Daemon of Tzeentch. Maybe you meant staff. Either way I'd spring more for another psychic level or a greater reward tp help keep him alive. ]]></description>

Of all the daemons, daemonettes are less needing of etherblades than any others. <br /> <br /> Having <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 3 attacks that they will be woundng most things on a 5+ anyway, and if they roll a 6, well you already ignore armour, so the blade is kind of wasted. <br /> Having more sergeants in the squads can be helpful against one of the rolls on the warpstorm table, but fateweaver already mitigates this quite a lot. <br /> <br /> Personally those 30 points could be better spent buffing up your daemon prince, or 2 more khorne dogs. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ If you have a well placed portal glyph lack of troops is not a problem. The most competitive CD lists out there have 2 squads of 10 troops.<br /> <br /> Flamers are fantastic but only at taking out 4+ saves. They're like ironclad Dreads with dual heavy flamers and a drop pod. I would only take them against orks, tyranids, eldar, tau, dark eldar, daemons, really anyone but <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(388);'>SMs</span> or <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSMs</span>. Considering about half the armies out there are either of those, that makes them somewhat situational.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ For a dogpile like this you have 4 choices:<br /> i) Heralds - a good choice for buffing the dog units, give them a jugger and an etherblade along with a loci and they will much improve the dogs when the going gets tough.<br /> <br /> ii) <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(235);'>LoC</span> are great in my opinion. Fully kitted out they cost 50 points less than a Tzeentch <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span>, and get +1 wound and T. However they do not get a 3+ save as base, which can hurt them. Not sure in a dog list.<br /> <br /> iii) Slaanesh lash <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> - anti air and generally great all round <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> loadout. <br /> <br /> iv) Nurgle <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> - more specialized than the lash <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span>, the nurgle Balesword <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> would be included in a dogpile list to remove those tough <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MCs</span> like wraithknights, which your dogs would struggle (fail) against. <br /> <br /> As for the grimmoire, a Tzeentch <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> is often the bearer of choice. Perhaps the toughest <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> due to those re-rollable 1's, and better than a herald because he can fly and keep out of harms way if he needs to. ]]></description>
