I would like very much to just spray them over in Chaos Black and then a can of The Fang to get a proper coat on before I start detailing them myself (that and as is they're a much lighter blue as they lacked the black basing I've used, I dislike the 'baby blue' colour SW armies tend to have these days ).

So will spraying them once with Chaos Black and again with The Fang ruin them? Yeah these models aren't even special in any way, just wanted a cheap bulk up of a 40k army. (These two sets cost me £17 from the same guy, also got £25 order with 4 termies, some scouts, convertable mahreens and Blood Claws and a £13 order of 4 termies. Good deals all around I'd say, only missing a decent HQ now.)

Slightly off-topic but what should I do with the random Chaos Marine this lot came with? That way you can see if you need to make any changes to your painting process before you get to your main army. Once that's done I'd paint him up as a bronze statue and use him as an objective marker. I can easily imagine Space Wolves wanting to destroy a Chaos Marine statue.
