				<title>BA trying to be partially competitive</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hi all<br /> With some friend we just started a campaign and i'm playing a lot of matches. However, i see several problem during the game but i really dunno if the problem is the list(s), or my "(un)strategic" use of them<br /> <br /> the list i'm using so far is an almost classical razorspam: 4x razorback, 2x fragioso on pod, 2x baal and mephiston. </div><br /> list is not fixed, so i sometime did some little changes based on adversaries (ie swapping heavy flamer for meltagun and magna grapple for fragioso against heavy mech lists) and rules for planetary empires (more points for less territories occupied)<br /> <br /> The list start pretty well: scout baal go forward and quickly attack, fragioso drop on front line, razorback create a wall and use las and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(166);'>plas</span> to hunt down some big things. Mephiston scares almost everything he's looking at, including riptides, wraithknights and carnifex...<br /> But, after a couple of turns tanks are gone and marines are on foot; they arrange to capture/hold objectives but die pretty quickly. Mephiston usually annihilate everything he manage to assault on first turn, then die while all enemy's unit shoot at him (no complain, he just do his job). On the last turns, i can't hold the line, i can't keep alive my marines, my army just... wither... ;_;<br /> <br /> since campaign started i played 3 match so far: 2 lost (tau, nids), 1 draw (eldar)<br /> against tau i was annihilated at the end of 4th turn; against nids game ended at end of 5th turn, i had just one asm squad on board (with 2 or 3 marines fighting a mawlock) and he had 60-70% of his army. Against eldar i had an handful of asm (3 or 4 in 3 squad) and he had all his waveserpent and 50% of troops (i did manage to draw the game based on first blood and warlord killed...)<br /> <br /> so, my question is...<br /> There is the problem with the list? where?<br /> or it's just me that does something awfully wrong (like choose wrong target to shoot at, not using right cover, drop-pod on wrong places or using  for instance)<br /> <br /> how can i tweak the list to be more competitive?<br /> <br /> [i got also 10x bike + 1x attack bike, 3x sanguinary priest, 10 more asm (with magnetized jump pack), 10x death company, 5x devastators, 10x tactical, 1x chaplain, some <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>hq</span> (including Dante, Corbulo, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(277);'>OOP</span> rogue trader Tycho, 1x libby, 2x or 3x captain, sergeants, etc), 5x terminator, 5x sanguinary guard... plus most of my friend has a small or large <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>MEQ</span> detachment so i can borrow troops and rhino/razorback/predator quite easily; i got also a papercraft stormraven and 3x papercraft land raider.<br /> i can try some different combination if there is the need...]<br /> <br /> <br /> <span style="font-size: 9px; line-height: normal;">Automatically Appended Next Post:</span><br /> if you need to know, in the campaign we are<br /> - Blood Angels (me)<br /> - Tau<br /> - Eldar<br /> - Imperial Guard<br /> - Necron<br /> - Imperial Fist<br /> - Tyranids]]></description>

				<title>BA trying to be partially competitive</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ My first question is the baal predators and dreads.  Are you keeping them relativity close to each other?  If you can get them close to each other they can focus fire troops the vehicles if you have too.  I used to spread troops and vehicles all over the place.  Well no good came of it.<br /> <br /> Second I know some people are Razorback fan. It does have a purpose, but will not hold up.  Tau shot you down and Nids mass swarm.  I am still a fan of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(457);'>JP</span>.  Your assault sqaud has to assault.  5 man assault squad alone will not make it.  I have used 10 man tactical.  They have been useful.  Not really <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(10);'>BA</span> still but useful.  Also <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> could help.<br /> <br /> Good luck.]]></description>
